I was a proud Starbucks Employee for 3.5 years throughout the Northern California area.
Giving exceptional service was something that was heavily emphasized at the last store that I worked at. And unfortunately this store lacks in it.
I went into this location today around late afternoon. And I noticed that there were two partners working the drive-thru and no one was at the front counter.
The thing that irked me the most was that the employees working behind the counter knew that I was waiting in line at the counter for a full minute…but seemed to pretend that I wasn’t there. No “hi, welcome in”, “we’ll be with you shortly”…no acknowledgement whatsoever.
At the very least one of the two baristas working the drive-thru could have made it known to the baristas in the back room that they had a customer at the front counter.
So I just walked out. A customer shouldn’t have to go out of their way to get great service.
The manager of my last store in Vacaville told all of our employees to treat anyone that walks into our store as a guest…no matter, if they bought anything or not, or even if they came in just to use the restroom.

Read moreI mobile order from this place almost daily and the app says 3-8 minutes until the order is ready which I get is an ESTIMATE. But I live 10 minutes from the location and arrived today 15 minutes after I placed my order and it STILL wasn’t ready. I stood and waited there for about 7-8 minutes until it was ready. Staff was extremely rude and didn’t even care how inconvenient or rude they were. The staff was calling out names for every single other mobile order but my name was not called and the staff then proceeded to give my quite a bit of attitude after I asked how much longer until my order was made saying “Oh you mean the on just sitting here”. That is just down right rude. People order a head of time for a reason. Not to stand around an wait for their orders. I get the time on the app is an estimate but it took 20+ minutes for my order to be ready. Train the staff on what customer services is. I was a partner for 8 years and worked at multiple stores throughout California. We were ways taught to provide excellent customer service and speedy services, especially in the drive through.
Sitting in the drive thru for 35 minutes for drinks that were made incorrectly is unacceptable. The girl at the window was rude, didn't apologize for the wait and KNEW our drinks were made wrong and still sent them out the window. We were too frustrated to complain and feared they'd make them wrong again anyways, so we just left.
I'm not normally one to complain and usually just go with the flow, but it seems it's impossible to receive good customer service these days, so save yourself and choose a different Starbucks. Even Dutch Bros would have been a...
