I've never encountered a company where using a gift card is such a problem. The online ordering does not allow for using a gift card. On this particular visit, I didn't order ahead. I went in placed my order & gave my gift card to the cashier. He said "you can try to use it. But there have been problems for the last few days." So I swiped the gift card. Sure enough the transaction failed. Tried it again, same result. I asked if there was another way to be able to pay with the gift card - no. When will the gift card be able to be used - he had no answer. Since that was only payment method I brought into the store, I cancelled my order and left. When I got to my car, I remembered I had a Visa gift card as well. I returned to store, placed my order again & swiped my visa gift card. The terminal displayed gift? debit/credit? I selected gift. Transaction declined. There was more than enough on card. So I swiped it again. This time I picked debit/credit. Voila transaction approved.
At a diff location I tried to use my little cesars gift card & the cashier couldn't get it to process. Eventually the store manager came out & explained there was a separate terminal required to process their gift cards and they didn't have one. Not theirs was broken or being repaired. They didn't have one so they could not accept their gift cards as payment. Yet right next to register was a display promoting their gift cards for purchase. Read moreI called my order in and they told me it would be ready in 40 minutes. I get over there to pick it up and it's not ready. It has almost been an hour since I placed the order. Why would you take my money and not let me know that my order is not ready? I asked for the manager and I explained to her that my order should've been ready for me to be picked up and she just walked away. So I told the cashier that I want a refund because this is ridiculous that I am still waiting for my order. The cashier calls the manager again and I can see that the manager is already having an attitude as she's approaching the register. She gives me my money and yells out "THANK YOU" to me very rudely as I'm walking away. So I yelled back to her " F**K YOU"! She continues to keep yelling "thank you" and I can hear her as I'm approaching my car. In general as a manager, I expect you to be more respectful and learn her to control yourself. She told me I don’t know what I’m talking about after Ordering a pizza I previously received the day before on dayshift. I’ve been told on nights there’s nothing they could do as far as ordering my pizza. Sometimes I have to go from Vallejo to Fairfield or even Richmond on Night Shift to get what I want because I always get turned down.
