My experience here overall was nothing short of stressful. I chose this motel because the first one I walked to had a $120 deposit on top of a $80 check in, which I found ridiculous for one night (that seemed like a scam). The second one, I called, they would not give me a price over the phone. The third one, the receptionist (who's English was so bad that I couldn't even understand) kept asking me a series of questions (which I reluctantly answered) when I just called to get the price (which he never gave). I felt like I was being interrogated. The phone call shouldn't have lasted that long. It felt intrusive and just downright awkward. Lastly I called another one, who wouldn't even answer. When I got to this one, they were the only one I got a straight answer and/or a sort of reasonable price for. I wanted to check into a motel because where I am staying at is so noisy that it is impossible to sleep there. At all. I have to wake up at 5:00 am for school and 6:00 am for work and I am not able to get a nights sleep at all to the point I had to sleep in a motel. I walked here, checked in. When I got to the room I noticed hair on the toliet, then eventually crumbs on the bed. I eventually went down stairs to ask the receptionist for disinfectant wipes (so I can clean the toilet and other surfaces, such as the dressers and floors). He told me to ask the housekeeper, whom I found on the phone, speaking in Spanish on the clock instead of working (now you can see why the rooms are so dirty). She claimed she didn't have any, which I didn't believe. Next there was the issue of the heater. It was too cold in the rooms (it was December, so it is also very cold outside also) I went to the front desk to report that the heater was broken. It kept cutting off after just a couple of minutes. He came to check it out and said that it cuts off after it gets a certain temperature in the room. It cut off so frequently that the room didn't have the opportunity to get warm. The rooms were filthy. Crumbs were in the bed, the floors were filthy so my feet were black just from walking on it, and surfaces weren't wiped down and disinfected. Hair was on the toilet seat, bed, refrigerator, and shower. I know it wasn't mine because I don't have that hair texture. That hair came from another race of person. A chewed up looking bar of soap was left in the shower and cigarette burns were everywhere. I didn't feel clean or safe sleeping in there. I thought I was going to contract tuberculosis and bed bugs. Please do not get me started on the noise level. Tenants were screaming all through the night to the point I had to call the front desk and give a noise complaint. I called twice. Nothing was done. I went to the door, opened it and recorded some of the noise I heard. I will upload the videos. The price seemed too much for what it is and the location. When I was in SeaTac I had a motel for 60 something dollars a night, cheaper than here in Vallejo, and everyone knows how expensive Seattle and SeaTac can be. As far as the heater, you probably can tell, but if you can't I haven't stayed in too many hotels/motels (I can count on my hand how many), but the motel I stayed in in Seattle the heater didn't cut off at all (at any room temperature) it just stayed on. I would say 0 out of 5 stars, unfortunately they make you give at least 1 star.
P.S. Google won't let me post...
Read moreThe hotel made our service dog sleep in the car without even asking for his papers. They said they were worried about him tearing up the carpet, but when we got to the room, it was all hard wood floors. The window was broken and would not open so we had zero ventilation all night. The air conditioner was also broken, so I literally overheated and woke up sick and congested. I called the front desk in the morning to see if we could get a late checkout (happened to be daylight savings time and lost an hour). The front desk person told me that as long as we were out by noon, that is fine but if we weren't out by noon, they would charge an extra $25. I told him that we would definitely be out by noon and he said that was totally fine. Then, at 11:02 am, their security guard banged loudly on my room door telling me it was security and to open the door. I was not fully dressed yet (they said we could check out at noon), and my fiance was at the store next door, so I was afraid to open the door. The hotel is not in a nice area, so I didn't know if it was a real security guard or an impersonator. I thought it was weird that they banged on the door right when my fiance left the room, and I was there alone. I quickly through on clothes and opened the door (deadbolt engaged just in case). The security guard informed me that we needed to go downstairs and pay $25 for a late checkout. I told him we had just talked to the guy at the front desk, and he told us that we could checkout at noon, and that the charge wasn't supposed to be unless we didn't make it out at that time. The security guard argued with me before he paged the front desk and asked for me. To my complete surprise, I heard the guy at the front desk say "Tell that girl she has to pay $25 for a late checkout." I was shocked and felt totally betrayed because he had told me something totally different over the phone, and then went back on his word to security, seemingly because he wanted more money. He had already tried to charge us an extra $50 for the dog the night before, which is why he stayed in the car. I felt totally disrespected and lied to, and have never ever had a similar experience at any other hotel. It seemed to me that this hotel and their staff did not value or appreciate guests. The way the security knocked on the door so loud when I was alone and undressed in my room was actually really scary and intimidating. I almost felt that if I didn't use the deadbolt, the security would have tried to assault me. We were planning on staying in the area for work for awhile, and could have easily spent a few thousand dollars here, but because of that experience I am going to be avoiding this place like the plague. I would never send someone I know here and would even tell them to stay away...
Read moreLet me start with my husband and myself are seasoned travelers. We were not expecting anything fancy. We expected standard 2 star inexpensive accommodations of a clean room, bed with clean linens, and towels for two adults.
Our one and only positive for our one night stay (inspire of having booked for two). Staff refused refund claiming (nowhere to be found manager has to authorize refund) is that the bed sheets were clean.
Filthy, unsafe, mold in room ac until that didn't work, damages in room to furniture and doors, limited hot water which took several minutes to achieve temperature. There was only one towel provided, instead of folded on a shelf it was hung used style on a single hook. Bed was hard and lumpy seemed more like a box spring with a mattress cover than an actual mattress.
The open stairs wobble, on-site elevator was out of service. Staff unexperienced in hospitality. I have pictures. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Staff in addition to coming across as inexperienced in customer service, also come across as scammers. Wouldn't provide a refund claims it was to be done by the manager. Conveniently the manager is never there.
Will be reporting the site to the state health department. It is that bad. Also possibly to BBB and state attorney.
Booked the room through the website with a credit card on file for the hold.
Because we wouldn't be able to get there until very late after our work shifts were over, called ahead to confirm we would be there and to find out late check in procedure. Was told that they do rooms on a first come first serve basis regardless of reservation with credit card on file for...
