Picnicky's Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Vallejo

It was over all a great experience. I have to say that the one area they need to improve is their wait time .I only go there for lunch so naturally I'm in a hurry. From the time I placed my order to when I got my sandwich it took approximately 15 minutes, and that was on top of the wait time of another 5-7 minutes of waiting to place an order for the sandwich because everyone else was ordering and waiting. This has been a typical experience for me. Even though, I still wait because their sandwiches are freaking delicious! Small menu so it keeps it simple, but their lineup is interesting and good . The bread selections are good and they allow some variation. Fresh ingredients and brewed iced tea. You can get a whole meal with chips for around 10 bucks . Great place with prices slightly higher than I would have liked, but their portions are huge, so net net it is good.

I stopped by about 5 minutes before closing. I tried calling ahead to order, but they said they don't take orders by phone. No worries, I placed my order and it was ready barely 5 minutes after, just in time for their closing!

I ordered the Italian combo, which they said they can not make hot for some reason. Even cold, it was tasty, with nice dressing that complimented the rest of the ingredients without distracting from the cold cuts.

Cold cuts were good, bread tasted fresh, and overall the sandwich was good, if a bit expensive at $16.

Picnicky's Sandwiches Shop is centrally located and one of Vallejo people's choice stars. The signs out front make it easy to find. There is free street and a side parking lot available. They have made it pretty easy for mobile orders or in person ordering. Today, I placed my order with a friendly staff person inside the shop. I ordered the sausalito sandwich with everything on it, mesquite barbecue chips, and a fountain drink. My sandwich was made fresh and tasted good as usual. The decor and ambiance are upbeat and friendly. l really wish they had a bathroom available for paying customers. Dine in eating would also make it easier to enjoy the sandwiches more frequently.
