Tequila's Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Valley Center

We have eaten here 3 times now. The service is usually okay, but last night we went a little later, and the service was horrible. We got our chips , salsa and drinks right away but then sat for about 15 minutes before ordering our food. The chips were hard and cold. Usually they’re pretty good but they sucked. Then, it took about an hour before getting our food, and not by our waiter. We didn’t see him again till it was time for our check. He never came back to check on us the whole time. The waitress told us sorry we got busy and forgot about you when we finally got our food. The bottom shells of my husband’s tacos were soggy and so was my taco salad shell. The food was just warm. I gave the food 4 stars though because it tasted incredibly delicious minus not being hot. I had never had a chicken taco salad so good before. The margaritas were just okay. The place could use some cleaning up. Looked a little dirty on the walls and floor. Our table was wet when we sat down, so guess it was just cleaned off. We will go again but instead of going at 6:30pm, we will try to be there by 5pm before...

We are visiting this nice little town and was told to hit tequilas for a margarita. Rolled in and got a nice booth, ordered some chori queso to nibble on while we drank a pitcher of Margarita's. Our waitress told us the glasses were half off tonight and so were the pitchers. We obviously went with the pitcher and settled in to relax and enjoy the evening. 4glasses out of the pitcher and the waitress walks up to tell us she was mistaken and only the glasses were half off at $2.10 per......the pitchers are full price at $18. Wait, what?!!! Yep, do the math on that. Tequilas is literally my favorite go to Mexican place in the Wichita area. The food is always good, flavorful and hot! I have never had a bad meal here. The owners are always very friendly as well as the staff. If you’re not in valley center it is honestly worth the drive in my opinion. They also have specials on margaritas on Thursdays and Saturdays and they are delicious! I typically dine here once a week sometimes twice, but that’s just cause Mexican is my favorite and it’s good!
