The Hive Bar Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Valley Center

Terrible! The 5 of us came into the bar - the bar was EMPTY! Except the bartender and a guy at the counter (they seemed to be in a discussion when we arrived). The women did not greet us, if anything she seemed very annoyed. Two of us went to the bathroom (very clean restrooms) and when we came out, two people that were in our group were apologizing and exclaiming that they/we had left an event and they had a few drinks but they did have a completely sober DD. I came up to the bar and stated I was sober, unfortunately lol! The bartender in a nasty tone stated that they (the two guys) need to act "less drunk" because she "did not have to serve them" - the guys apologized again expressing they shouldn't have came in so loud (we were all laughing and giggling when we arrived). The bartender rolled her eyes and continued to pour the drinks for us. We paid for our drinks and sat down for the next 45 minutes. There was no further communication with the bartender. Two other people came in, and it seemed like they were having a discussion about our interact based on what I could hear. I think the whole encounter was horrible from entering the building to ordering the drinks. While I cannot say what happened while I was in the restroom, I can speak to how I was treated. She seemed annoyed that she had to stop talking with the guy at the bar (perhaps a boyfriend) to serve us. Not a single hello, hi, what's up! NOTHING!!!! We have gone to bar off and on for awhile, not since the new owner ship I am in hope they are able to have a discussion with this EXTREMELY...

*Don’t Eat Here Unless You Inconsistent Food Quality * I used to really like the Hive food until recently when the food hasn’t been consistent! We used to order every Friday or Saturday the same things the last month are food hasn’t been the same it’s been for the worst! I’ve tried giving breakfast a go there it was really good the first time then the second time completely different! We just ordered there friday giving them another chance because I want them to succeed but unfortunately are cheeseburger where still raw. I hope they can do better soon but I’m doing giving chances here! Also I will note before my last incident I reached out on there Fb messenger to express my concern of the food not being consistent and I heard nothing back knowing they read it! With the last incident I was told I would here back directly from the owner it’s been over 2 weeks an nothing from them it’s apparent the owner doesn’t care about past loyal customers...

Very disappointed with our first impression of this place. We were excited to try it out and support a local business. We came in on a Friday night, 2 adults 1 child, knowing they were going to be busy, no big deal! We didn't mind waiting a bit to get a spot. We walked in, scanned for an open table and didn't see any so we stood off to the side to wait. The only acknowledgment we got from the staff the whole time was a waitress that came over and started cleaning a large table in front of us and just rudely stated "This table is reserved." We didn't get a "Welcome in", or "We'll be with you shortly", or anything the whole time. A couple walked in a few minutes after us, and there was another waitress cleaning a table and gestured for them to come sit down, completely ignoring us. We figured the service wouldn't improve going forward so we decided to try somewhere else.
