Beggars Pizza - Valparaiso — Restaurant in Valparaiso

This is by far the worst pizza I have ever had. One star is generous. Completely tasteless. Crust was hard, flavorless and tasted like flour pounded into a flat disk mixed with water just so it formed a dough without even salt mixed in. Top of crust was doughy. Sauce? I guess the 1tbsp of tomatoes they put on the family size crust apparently watered down and mixed with baking soda to kill any flavor/acidity.

We tossed the crust and attempted to eat the, I'm assuming it's actually cheese? It tasted off, and had the consistency of plastic. Not even the onions, green peppers and black olives added any flavor--we even tossed some of the toppings off this disgusting excuse for a pizza.

We could've picked up probably 8 frozen pizzas for the price of this pizza, and they'd of been 10x better. We will never go back...

Would gotten 5 stars but the hours are not correct. I grew up on beggars pizza in Chicago and it's by far one of the best pizzas I've had. As for the hours ,it says they open at 11a but it doesn't say that it's order by phone and pick up only. Either way ,worth the little frustration. This is an addition to what I've said already. The valparaiso branch could do much better. I hope that beggars looks at these reviews in hopes of helping their branches along. First being open for 4 hrs a day sucks. You guys sell a great product but your attention to customers sucks. They say their open from 4-8p but it's 4p and still not open. I really enjoyed Beggars growing up so to learn there was one a block away I wanted to try. I got delivery and they said 1 hour 10 minutes we'll it took 1 hour 20 minutes which whatever, bit then to get my meal cold and not even edible. I told manager I will just heat the pizza in oven to make edible but garlic bread and mozzarella sticks are not. So he replaced the 2 for a credit. Well I go to get the credit and I have to pay the taxes. I will never return. Betty the manager was eating while speaking to me all rudely and the employee that picked up the phone said I can just take it up with manger when I pick my food up. Super rude here both employee and manager and I should have had all my food credited...
