I promise they don't even deserve a one star from me. Here is my story- I had knee surgery and am unable to drive, but really wanted some pizza. I remember the BOGO offer that Pizza Parlour has, and proceed to use the WAITR App to order my pizza as I am unable to drive and have no one to go get it. I am taking back by what prices are offered or shown, and what I paid. Again I'm off work for this knee surgery, and trying to pinch pennies so $26 for a medium pizza seems a little much for me. So I waited an hour first of all for my pizza, and still I'm okay with this.. I get my pizza, and there is only 1- as Pizza parlour is home of the bogo, and I didn't get my dressing that I ordered and paid extra for. I'm still not upset, because I thought I was going to call and get it taken care of instead when the man got on the phone I got- wasn't my fault I sent it with the driver it's their responsibility to Make sure they have everything, and we dont honor the bogo with WAITR. Which is NOT posted anywhere! Okay so let me get this straight instead of you attempting to keep a customer you are going to be rude to me, and basically tell me you don't care bc it was my fault for using a service you contract with? So I'm out $26 have a cold hard pizza with 5-6 slices? And a VERY RUDE STAFF WHO AREN'T TRYING TO MAKE IT RIGHT! So I take to Facebook to air how I was treated, and instead of an apology I got ganged up on by the owner and who ever runs the page. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SUCH RUDE PEOPLE WHO DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS! I will share this...
Read moreWe went in in buffet day (Sunday!). There wasn't a ton of variety but the pizza was good, salad bar looked all fresh, and the spaghetti tasted pretty great. The variety issue may have been just the fact that when we arrived the Pizza bar was picked clean except for a few pieces. It was replenished a few minutes after we arrived, then promptly picked clean by the first responders that had arrived when we did. The interior was clean and in good repair and the staff was friendly and attentive.
I hate to admit but we had hesitated going here for quite a while because the outside of the restaurant is sub-par when seeing it from the main road. The roof has pallets lining the top, the paint is faded and the restaurants sign is broken. (Which is a shame because it's pretty cool.) When it comes to restaurants the "don't judge a book by its cover" saying isn't exactly reliable, but this is one I shouldn't have judged so quick.
Edit- Added a few more details & updated review from 4 to 5 stars. In my experience so far, it's uncommon for an owner to be so attentive and responsive to reviews. The owners fast response coupled with the aforementioned good food, clean interior, and friendly/attentive staff easily earns that last...
Read moreThe Pizza Parlour has been around for years. And with good reason. Good value for money pizza.
Now I usually go when they have a buffet going on, but you can come in and order a specific pie to eat there or take home. However the budget offers more variety than you'd think. Anything from a vegetarian pie to a loaded meat lover carnivore chaos, to your generic cheese or pepperoni. They even have desert pies! I like the apple cinnamon the best.
Sometimes, at the peak of the meal time hour, you may have to fight for that last slice before more can make it out of the oven. But the wait is never long for them to keep the buffet stocked with at least one thing that everyone likes.
The staff is very friendly and always smiles. I never get but half way down my cup before they are there with a pitcher of tea topping me off. They'll even take special requests for a type of pizza you'd like to hit the buffet, and when it comes out you usually get first dibs.
So again, if you want a good meal with good money value in these worsening economic times, come and try the pizza parlor at they variety of locations. And enjoy my favorite pizza place in town since I was a child....
