Foode Cafe & Catering — Restaurant in Vancouver

I never write bad reviews but Foode Cafe needs to know that the service here must improve. I ordered the Korean Pulled Pork sandwich (see menu photo) and was delivered bread with sauce and giant chunks of meat— no vegetables or other toppings as the item is offered on the menu. I ordered it as is, no custom requests.

This is the 2nd time I’ve been ripped off by this place in the last several months; last time I went in to order to-go, there was nobody else in the store. But the employees had such entitled sarcastic attitudes like I was an inconvenience to their lives. My sandwich was handed over with rips in the wrapping, avocado and sauce leaking out, the sandwich a complete sloppy mess and lacking the bacon it’s supposed to come with. I’ve worked in food service and know that attitudes can get heated and some people get tempted to take it out on customers, but because of this familiarity with the job I’m always super kind to cashiers/servers and I like to tip well. So I honestly don’t understand this team’s pattern. I’m a customer wanting to pay and tip—how about at least meet the bare minimum responsibility and do a decent job?

I love Foode Cafe overall and their food is always delicious. But their service has gone far downhill. I hope it improves and believe it can, I really want to continue supporting...

This is such a hidden gem! Highly recommend. It is so refreshing to find a place that offers a new and unique spin on all my favorites. I suggest you try the Prime Rib sandwich. :) The food is fresh, crisp and packed with flavor, their menu will not disappoint. Lots of high quality items to choose from. The food is not the only reason to frequently visit this place! The customer service is top tier exceptional. The employees are attentive and friendly. The place is always clean and the atmosphere is relaxing. It has a great vibe. I don't know where they get their ingredients from but the quality of the food and vegetables has always been excellent both in freshness and in flavor. It is hard to find a place that checks all the boxes and this place...

Oh man! This place was such a sweet surprise to find! My Uncle and I were in the downtown area all day and had a craving for a good salad. So glad we found this place. The Harvest Beet Power Salad was so delicious! I’m a big fan of hearty salads with grains, lettuces with more vitamin value like arugula or spring mix over plain ice burger lettuce and this hit all the right notes! The honey balsamic dressing was the perfect pairing with the beets, pepitas, goat cheese, walnuts and quinoa. I added chicken for some extra protein too. This was a generous portion as well so it was quite filling even after sharing some with my Mom. I’ll definitely be back when I’m on this side of town...
