T.J. Maxx — Local services in Vancouver

This is one of the nicer TJ Maxx stores in the Portland Vancouver area although it is a little smaller than some of the others. The employees are typically very nice and there seemed to be plenty of them in the store. They were doing a lot of stocking of goods so there were lots and lots of carts in the middle of aisles and blocking walkways, which was a bit frustrating. 4 stars, not 5, because of one employee. She was my cashier and obviously in a sour mood. The staff at this TJ Maxx tend to be fairly pleasant and the cashiers are always especially chatty. On this particular day, this young lady was not pleasant or chatty. She was actually very straight-faced and monosyllabic. I know everybody's entitled to an off day but this gal was off, closed down, and boarded up. I still recommend the store and I'll be going there again, probably...

Absolutely dishonest manager. refused to sell me the dress at the price that was listed on the red price tag. As a result, she took it off in front of me and said that it was not worth that much. Despite the fact that this dress was one for the whole store and a little dirty. In the dressing room, I removed stains with a Tide to go pencil. Since I do not speak fluent English, the manager decided that I could be blatantly deceived and treated with disdain. Despite the fact that I left more than $180 in their store. For the manager, even just apologizing for their shop's mistakes proved to be a huge and impossible feat for her! The store has a good range of things, but be careful and accurate! Tried to call and someone answered, didn’t say anything and then hung up. Figured they were open and they weren’t! Just a sign on the door saying sorry for the inconvenience but they were not open with almost every business open around this store. How hard would have been to just record a message that they weren’t open on there phone. And to answer the phone and not say anything 🙄and hang up. I tried to call later and the phone just rang and rang. Just unprofessional. Also, they do NOT have easy returns for items purchased online, and that’s one reason I was going into the store.
