We stumbled on this place a few years back on a holiday/ late in the evening as they were the only place open.
Food was good but what has made us become regulars were the employees & owners. I have never experienced employees/owners who care so much. The owners are fantastic. They always greet us, take the time to small talk with us at our table, they ask what we like/food preferences/they legit take notes/feedback on what their customers like/don’t like etc (that NEVER happens). I will always continue to support their business. They tell us we are now part of their family (they seem to value their customers).
We are pretty simple eaters and order the same each time we go (S&S Chicken, BBQ Pork, Pork Fried Rice, General Tso Chicken & Orange Chicken) it’s ALL fantastic and very reasonably priced.
The only downside I can see would be the drinks. They only offer cans or bottles (no fountain drinks/no refills obviously). As mentioned they are very accommodating so they always make sure to have a specific drink we prefer 😉 (that’s a great business).
If you haven’t tried this place yet- PLEASE DO (you won’t regret it). You will also appreciate the level of service you will receive from them.
I wish them all the success in their business and I know they will always do great with their level of service they provide to...
Read moreThis is one of those authentic hidden gems, you can't see the restaurant from the road, and google maps totally had it off and was telling me that I was 10 minutes away when I was literally in front of the restaurant. It's right behind the KFC, off sr500, and it's dark during the night barley can see the little area it's in, but totally worth getting through the bad directions,so happy I kept looking for it. Best Chinese food I've had in the vancouver, wa area, and I used to work for a family owned Chinese restaurant,I know Chinese food and Lucky House is seriously better than any other Chinese restaurant I've been to around here. We had 4 of us eating, and our total was under 50$, so don't be fooled by cheap prices, large servings, had plenty of left overs to being home too. Casual, family environment, nothing fancy by any means, but very kind, attentive, personable staff, seems to be a family owned restaurant. You know its good and authentic when you see your cook and the whole family who works there sitting down at closing time to eat next to you. We were the last ones out at 9pm, and weren't rushed or anything to leave. Lunch specials are cheap 8,9,10$ bucks :) avg dinner plates about 15-17$ 18 tops for dinner combo plate, definitely coming back...
Read moreI was in the mood for some Chinese food today and wanted to get something to go to enjoy at home before the new year. There were a couple of Chinese places around me, Lucky House was one of them. I checked out the restaurant on Google and decided to give it a try and placed an order through their website. I went with the Garret combo, which came to about $14 plus tax. It seems reasonable for a local Chinese restaurant.
The restaurant is located in the SR 500 Commerce Center strip mall off Coxley Dr. My order was all packed up and ready for me at the front counter when I arrived about 10 minutes later. I got permission from the staff to look around and take some pictures of the restaurant. The place has quite a bit of tables, is nicely decorated, and looks very clean.
My order came with utensils, a few packages of soy sauce, and a fortune cookie. The food was pretty good. It’s pretty much the standard of most Chinese food restaurants. However, the portions were very generous. The combo I got can easily feed two people.
I didn’t get to experience much customer service since my order was to-go but the staff seemed very nice during the little interaction we had. My overall experience was a good one. I’ll be sure to stop by again the next time I’m...
