Alright. I have been hesitating to write this review, selfishly. I have eaten all over northern Italy, France, US etc.
This is better than any food in West Seattle /Seattle. Period.
The ambiance is cozy and non-pretentious, the staff is kind and welcoming. EVERY dish was on point. The shishito peppers (usually prepared super charred but this was the perfect texture) The truffle arancini balls (OMG..), the Quinoa kale mushroom salad ( Um. Wow. ) The Rockfish (Cooked perfectly and the texture of the batter was so light and airy. This is something really hard to pull off. ) By the time my husband and I tried the sticky toffee pudding ( Ridiculous) I started laughing because I knew that was it.... We enjoyed a wonderful Friday evening in the nearly full remodeled dining area. Currently the service is sorting out the hybrid express model of ordering at the counter, with table service plating the selections family style on vintage-thrifted fine china.
The truffle bread or the clams are great starters! Followed by beef cheeks in risotto, roasted chicken on a bed of brussel sprouts bathed in broth and an amazing pork milanase! Planning to come back in the summer to dine on the backyard...
