Update: After our first experience was amazing (I left the review below), our second trip here was so disastrous I had to take a couple days to not be overly critical and seem disingenuous.
Issue 1: Our waitress (lack thereof). She disappeared for 10 minutes at a time. Older woman, half a mask on (plastic). Got our waters (which tasted like tap water This time) and our appetizer order and then gone for nearly 17 mimutes. Came back with our wings (burning hot out of the fryer) and nearly forgot to ask for our main order.
Issue 2: Consistency. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap again. It was barely like this first time. The onion strings were fried in overused grease, soft, and I tasted the dark oil through them. Sauce to dressing ratio not the same. Greens were ok. Wrap seemed smaller than the first time. French fries were great. Ketchup? Not enough in the bottle for either of us. Simple stuff got f'd up.
With all the sports bars around, I'd be pressed to make a swing back here when I know a better place for a quality wrap and I can watch my football team elsewhere.
Sorry!! Had to cut you down to 2 stars. Everything you did right when it was slower you failed when you got busy.
Previous review:
This is what I picture when I think of sports bars. TVs everywhere, even in the booth seats. Love the banners of teams and schools in the ceiling. Their appetizer menu is an important feature, and their specialty is wings. The bar has plenty of tap choices and at bar seating with more TVs to watch.
The food? Excellent. I had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Forgive the photo a bit - I only take pics when the food deserves it. Kim, our waitress was great and asked if I wanted mild, medium, or hot. Definitely hot, and it did not disappoint. Great portions ratio of chicken, sauce, bleu cheese, onion strings, and greens. I say greens because this was quality lettuce. A...

Bogeys has been a rollercoaster of an experience for us. It seems that every time we visit, it's either an amazing meal or a terrible disappointment. There is simply no in-between. It's frustrating because we order the same dish every time we go, hoping for a consistently great experience, but it's like playing a game of chance.
On our best night at Bogeys, we were served with huge, juicy, and absolutely amazing wings. The flavors were spot-on. However, our enthusiasm quickly faded when we decided to visit again the very next week, at the same time. To our disappointment, the wings were considerably smaller and lacked the same juiciness and flavor. It almost felt like they had been reheated in a microwave.
In an industry where reputation is built on consistency, the inconsistency in the quality of food served at Bogeys poses a significant threat to the restaurant's business. It erodes trust and undermines the very foundation on which successful establishments are built. While Bogeys possesses a good product, their inability to deliver it consistently tarnishes their reputation time and time again.
It's disheartening because Bogeys has the potential to be a great dining establishment. Their best days have demonstrated their ability to create dishes that satisfy and impress. However, without a focus on consistency, their occasional flashes of brilliance fade into insignificance. They must recognize the importance of delivering a consistently excellent experience
I sincerely hope that Bogeys gets their act together and addresses this issue. With a good product at their disposal, they have the opportunity to thrive and continue to make a name for themselves in the local restaurant scene. But if they continue to struggle with consistency, it's a path that will ultimately lead to...
Read moreVisited here last year. It was quiet and took an age to be served. The server was apologetic and was nice enough. My meal was average at best but my wife was very happy with her's.
While on this vacation we thought we'd pay another visit, tonight 4/14/23 @ about 9pm (just in case the manager/owner bothers reading their reviews) and upon arriving we waited to be seated. The young guy just wasn't interested in acknowledgement. Fine, let's look towards the sour faced young girl stood beside him. Blimey, I really don't think I've come across such a miserable, unwelcoming and moody server in all my life! She reluctantly muttered something which I take was "follow me", which we did. A half-harted chuck of the menu's strewn on the table and a quick about-turn and without a word, she was gone. Approx TEN MINUTES went by, no server, no one asked if we'd like to order drinks, nothing. Now finding this quite humorous I asked my wife how long do we give this? At that point I counted 4 employees stood talking together. Aaannnnnnd we're out of here! Yes it was busy...ish but not that busy, which brings me on to the clientele. In that 10min we were sat there both my wife and I had unruly brats in the adjoining booths kicking (?) the benches. Bit of a long shot but I'm guessing they maybe associated with the ridiculous pick-up trucks in the parking lot. You get the picture. We'll never visit here again and I certainly DO NOT RECOMMEND. A...
