I always love walking downtown Venice. Although, I wish the shops were open till 7pm, because generally I strut down the boardwalk after a long day at the beach.

Downtown Venice itself is home to some of my favorite restaurants. Made in Italy, Cia Gelato, and T.J. Carneys, to name a few. Made in Italy is a great spot for eclectic drinks and decent Italian food. I, myself, am Italian, so there are some dishes I wish were a bit better in seasoning or flavor. Cia Gelato is a wonderful after dinner desert spot, that is if you don't indulge in some of Made in Italy's Desert Menu. Cia offers homemade Gelato of all flavors. It offers plain, sugar, and waffle cones just like a traditional ice cream shop, while also offering its go to cup sizes. Then there's T.J.'s...an Irish style bar with wonderful food. I love going there for a late afternoon meal. Constantly fresh veggies in their Vegetarian options and some of the best Reubens I've ever tasted, that is besides the famous...

Love living in the beautifully historic Venice Island. The people who live on Venice Island are just amazing! I have not met anyone who is not happy in this community. The beach is so close and Publix is less than a mile away. The Farmers Market is just wonderful. There are so many little shops and a whole lot of delicious food practically everywhere and if you drink alcohol then you would love the Island!. Fishing is pretty good too. I have never seen any kind of criminals on the Island. I believe that Venice Island should be rated in the Top 3 places to live in America. If you don't live here then I highly recommend visiting and then you will understand why Venice, Island is always...

Downtown Venice feels like stepping into a postcard that never fades. The Mediterranean architecture, bright flowers, and palm-lined streets create the perfect mix of elegance and coastal charm. Every corner feels cared for and full of life. The shops are both familiar and unique, the people are friendly, and the whole area carries a timeless, relaxed warmth filled with sunshine. We spent a week here for our anniversary, and every night felt like a dream. Romantic dinners, moonlit walks, and my husband absolutely spoiling me. Venice made it easy to fall in love all over again, both with the town and...

We went to Englewood to hear Selwyn Birchwood who we love and we were super excited about seeing him. We had recently missed hearing him in Naples where we live. We sat at the bar because all the tables were reserved; we had no idea it would get so busy and that we would need a reservation, but Selwyn does put on a great show so it made sense they would be packed. Our service at the bar was amazing. The bartender John took excellent care of us. We love the place, the music, the staff, and of course Selwyn made it a truly memorable evening. We will definitely be going back.

We were shopping here this afternoon. There was a woman buying a wood vase with a glass cylinder in the middle. The clerk dropped the glass cylinder shattering it all over the floor. The owner came out of the back and was very upset. The customer asked her to discount it because she still liked the wood vase. The owner said I’ll just take it home. It’s one of a kind. So the customer said she would still buy it at full price but thought that was terrible. We agreed & left the store. No way we are shopping here again!
