Ordered: mole enchiladas $ enchilada plate (verde)

TLDR: the best part of the food was the home made tortillas. I won’t come back for enchiladas. Over all I was disappointed.

My food took about 30 minutes to prepare. Others came, ordered and left with food. It’s obvious this is more of a burrito/taco joint and should probably reduce the menu and stick to what they are good at and can prepare quickly.

Mole: sauce was mediocre. Cumin was the strongest flavor, and the sauce was on the thick side. For some reason on the avenue you either get chicken or cheese in your enchiladas. It’s like having both would unravel some unspoken time/space balance where enchiladas hold the fabric of the universe together. I up charged $1.50 to add cheese. The photo shows what I got. I counted 2 shredded strands in one enchilada. Not exactly sure why I paid that for a hint of cheese. If you’re going to up charge for cheese it should be enough to justify the cost.

Verde Enchiladas: ordered them with chicken and cheese. They didn’t have any cheese at all. Pretty sure the sauce was actually just their green salsa. The flavor of the sauce was very good, but nothing to write home again.

I won’t be getting enchiladas from here again but I might try a torta or tacos. Still, the price didn’t justify the quality. Sit down restaurants are charging the same for...

The food is very good and tasty, it seems that they have work hard getting it done the right way, but here's my only complaint: This last weekend (last Saturday, Dec 5th to be exact) I was in Ventura and I decided to stop there for the first time, at first I was really impressed with all the posters regarding COVID19 restrictions ,Ventura County Health Dept. Phone numbers etc , but that didn't match what I saw , after I placed my order I wait outside in one of the parking spots they have adjacent to the business and there's a window that appears to be used or was used in the past as a pick-up window, anyways you can see part of the kitchen operation thru that window and unfortunately two ladies that they were preparing food they were not following the Ventura county COVID19 restrictions. They were working hard in the kitchen but they were not wearing masks, one had the mask on her neck the other didn't have one at all , the guy in the register did have one but even outside was "hit and miss", some patrons sitting waiting for the food didn't have it on, others did , anyways, very unfortunate to see a business with potential falling short of the expectations due to the lack of consistency on their own policies. This place can easily have a 5 start rating, but because of the circumstances we are in cannot rate...

Not sure why they didn't post my first review..so I guess I have to add this again..i ordered a wet carnitas burrito and the carnitas a little crispy w extra sour cream (see second review below) and ground beef nachos,extra sour cream ..the burrito wasn't wet first thing wrong but yes it was soggy..second issue..with all the lettuce,rice and beans on top with the meat on the bottom!!?? Come on people..I understand we're in a pandemic and it was delivered a whole 2 miles down the road but for $33 I feel this is highly over priced for the quality and portion size..the nachos were made for the size of a child under 5..Ive consistently purchased the same order from the taquaria in Simi and the nacho portions as well as the burritos are almost twice the size..shouldve ordered from del taco..also seems odd they have a lot of 5 stars and a lot of 1 stars..sounds like family and friends review this spot..go somewhere else unless this is all ya got..

Forgot to add the extra sour cream but they didn't forget to add it to the bill..it seems odd that this place gets a lot of 5 stars but then receives 2s and 3s..assuming family members take part in these reviews..once again try...
