I would normally give this place 5 stars as I stop here often and I love the ice cream, paletas and bionicos…but today something happened that made me mad. Normally when you check out the cashiers turns the screen around so you can ad a tip. On a ice cream I normally leave a $1 some times $2. The girl said “go ahead and sign” and I said “I never saw the screen” and she said “really? you just sign the little screen”, so I did and then I said “can I have my receipt”. When I got to my car I noticed that there was a $2.70 tip. Not that the amount is outrageous, but considering this desert is already $9.00 it brings the desert to $11.69…seems a bit suspicious that I never saw the screen and there is a 30% tip. I've been here many times and paletas (i.e. ice cream) are unique, fresh a very tasty. However, today I had to pull over to clean the mess the Bionico (i.e. the fruit with cream) made in my car and all over my pants. The staff should be more cautious of how they prepare certain foods. This place is understaffed especially now and even before COVID. If there's one person working and there's a line that ends outside the entrance, it could take up to 45 minutes just to order. Also, this place NEEDS ventilation. Every time I get ice cream, it starts melting the second its put in that cup. The staff also tend to ask you to repeat your question every 5 seconds, as if...
