Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I don't generally post negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my thoughts about Pizza Hut.
Let me say that the employees at this location did a perfect job. They made my order perfectly. They were also very friendly and clearly care about the service they provide.
The problem here is with the quality of the ingredients. The crust is the foundation of a pizza. It not only holds the rest of the pie, it provides the initial taste experience. Unfortunately, the crust that the Hut uses today lacks flavor. Gone are the days when you could get a rich, flavorful crust like I could count on 20 years ago when I was a regular of this franchise.
Next, let's talk about the sauce. When seasoned correctly, the "gravy" creates sensations to the taste buds. Good sauce dances in the mouth and compliments the foundation of the pie. This sauce tasted like a can of unseasoned tomato sauce. Something has been lost over the years.
The cheese and pepperoni finished my basic pie. Good pepperoni and cheese will release the fat and deliver the experience that pizza enthusiasts expect. The pepperoni on this pizza lacked flavor and didn't seem to have anything to release. Perhaps it is just too thin. The cheese is a problem, too. There was a generous amount on it, but I honestly feel like this was a cheese product rather than actual cheese. I ordered a well done pie. It was baked this way (the pepperoni and crust reflected that). When baked this way, cheese will slightly brown on top while the lower level will release the oils that enhances the flavor. The cheese on this pie didn't do that and truly had no flavor.
I think YUM Brands has to evaluate the direction they have taken the franchise. Owner/operators deserve to have ingredients that help them bring people back. Advertising alone doesn't cut the pie. Until this is addressed, I will no longer order another pizza from this franchise. I miss the...
Read moreMy family has been ordering from here since 2011, it has been in rotation for years and we haven’t had any major issues. Today we tried to order online and the website wasn’t working. We called the store and received a call center then had to be transferred to the store to place our order. The young man who took our order seemed new which I won’t hold against him. After we placed our order we received a text saying that our order was being delivered by DoorDash. We called the store (call center then transferred to store again) and then explained that since they don’t have any drivers right now they outsource to DoorDash and just choose not to notify customers of this. When I asked about the delivery fee he said “$4 or something like that”. I was annoyed but left it at that., then our order was delivered to the incorrect address and half the order was incorrect. Once again we had to go through transfers to speak with someone and we got the “manager” (Michael?) and explained that the food was wrong he said “I’m pretty sure that’s what you got but I guess I’ll just re ring everything” and then said it was be 45 minutes. Overall this location has gone so far down hill and from what I’ve heard from others this isn’t uncommon. Read moreI called the store at 10:35 and didnt get an answer so I called an additional 2 more times finally received an answer on the third try the lady that answered the phone was rude and told me the store was closed and that it was closing early for the whole week. She then proceeded to tell me that she couldn’t take my order because she closed out the cash and didn’t want to reopen it. She then placed me on hold for 3 minutes then asked me what I wanted to order I told her I would like to order a couple large pan pizzas she then stated to me that she would place my order and have it ready for tomorrow and that she would give me a discount for the wait. I told her that I could not wait till tomorrow that I was hungry tonight and she told me that there was nothing she could do for me then placed me back on hold for and additional minute then stated to me that she couldn’t take my order under the circumstances that’s she didn’t believe that I was hungry and wanted to order she proceeded to call me a liar. Then told me the only way she would place my order is if I came in and proved myself.
