If I could give negative stars, I would. This is definitely one of those places where if you want anything resembling "courteous" or (even the most basic form of) "good" service, you better be friends with the bartender. Or with someone who is. For a night that wasn't even close to busy, we waited entirely too long to 1) even be greeted, 2) have our order taken. Could it have been because of the bartender was too busy having an obviously personal conversation with someone else, that was apparently more important than acknowledging the people coming in? Possibly. I will say she handled it quite well when the obviously trashed group of 6 or so people came in. And by that I mean that she was the most amicable person ever. Shocker, they were all buddies. Was only checked on once, about 5 or 7 minutes after my glass was emptied, and then once again when I flagged her down to ask for the check. Yes, I had to flag her down. And we were at the bar. I think my favorite part was when she took my information off of my card and GAVE IT TO A RANDOM PATRON, ONE OF THE PEOPLE IN THE GROUP WITH ALL THE DRUNKS, BECAUSE HER CAR GOT HIT. BY A VEHICLE NOT EVEN CLOSE TO RESEMBLING MINE. And yes, it was straight to her because she messaged me. Not the police, not the proprietor, the patron. Never have I seen such unprofessional people in my entire life, and I worked at Gas USA on Middle Ave in Elyria. This wasn't my first time being here, but it will definitely be the last. No, the other times weren't completely awful, but nowhere near good enough to make up for that garbage. The service has never been stellar, the food is sub-standard at best, and I've seen better beer selections at Walmart.
Tl;dr: this place is awful, pretty sure they broke the law, go visit Tap House and have...
Read moreUPDATE.Stopped in to use the restrooms and never left. We got to the Wollybear festival, walked around, and ended up at Rudy's. 4 Bloody Marys, 3 Absloute and waters, A Philly Cheesesteak with tots, a Truffel Burger with onion rings and A HUGE Pretzel and being there 5 hours the whole experience was Awesome. The 3 bartenders were as close to perfect as you would ever find. They were all over, and nobody wanted for anything, and they complimented each other well. The 3 "cooks" made/prepared everything quickly and efficiently with a GREAT TASTE! This was our first time there, BUT it will not be our last! John Taffer could take lessons from the staff there. We'll Done Rudy's Well done!! UPDATE!!!!!! We came back for the WollyBear, Rudy's got BETTER!!!!! Same staff and a few more of them. The drinks are served with great smiles and warm, kind words. This time, we got the Philly Wrap and the CrabCake Wrap,2 words....Freekin Great!!!! The teamwork here is second to none. They all work so well together, almost like they are related, lol. If you have not been here ,GO, you can...

Rudy's is a great little place nestled in the middle of a small unsuspecting town of Vermillion, OH. Maybe you are travelling along the iconic Route 6, Route 2, or you are in town to enjoy the lake, make a stop at Rudy's.
About the food The menu has some excellent selections, with some very unique wing flavors - my favorite was the Spicy Hot Chocolate dry rub. The burgers and wraps are also excellent. Don't forget to order the loaded tots!!
About the Staff I was there on Labor Day, and it was packed!! had to wait a bit of time to get a table, but that's ok. The staff were super friendly, took the food and drink orders, and everything came out pretty quick and all was correct! I can't say enough great things about the staff here.
About the location If it's busy, parking can be a bit tight, but if the library is closed you can park there, it's right across the street. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. There are tables and bar...
