I'd give this place absolutely no stars if I could because my experience was so awful.
I went with a friend who loves this restaurant to get dinner tonight, and had the worst experience of my life, and that's not an exaggeration. We sat down, ordered our food and an appetizer, received the app and soup, and were enjoying ourselves until our meals came. I'd ordered a platter, and received no rice with my meal like I was supposed to. After telling my friend that I was just going to let it slide, she told me that if I was going to pay for it, I should receive it. I called the waitress over and told her that I hate being "that person" in a restaurant, but that I was under the impression that my meal was supposed to come with rice. She immediately responds with, "you didn't want any." When she saw my confused look, she told me that she'd asked me if I wanted rice, and that I had told her I didn't. This was a blatant lie, about me, TO me. I told her that I did want the rice, and she left to get it for me. My friend confirmed that she had never asked if I wanted rice. By the time she came back, I'd cut into my chicken, taken a bite, and realized by its gumminess that it was undercooked. I cut another piece open to discover that it was pink inside.
I had to catch the waitress's attention by the point when I realized what was going on with my food, because she'd already brought my rice and hadn't come back to check on us. I told her that my meat was pink and that it shouldn't be when it's fully cooked, and told her that I'd like to send it back. She told me that she'd have to tell the cook before taking it back, which was weird but I figured that the cook would want to speak with me about my food. I was fine with that, but wasn't going to be told to pay for food that I couldn't eat.
Instead of this, my friend and I heard the words "IT'S DARK MEAT" being yelled at the waitress. Immediately I was gearing up for a major conflict, if the cook was yelling at the middle man and not even the person who raised the issue. The cook did not come out to talk with me, instead the waitress came back out, answered the phone twice, took care of all other tables in the restaurant, gathered a carry out order for someone, and THEN came back to explain to me that the cook told her to tell me that it was dark meat. I explained that I know what dark meat looks like, that it's not pink, but that it in fact appears even darker when it's been cooked. However, I didn't want to take it out on the waitress because that's the worst thing to do, even though I'd already had issues with her as well. I told her that if the cook wanted to argue, I'd argue with him/her and not the person who's not at fault for the undercooked meat. She takes my food, asks if I want a replacement meal, I tell her no, and that I just want it taken off my bill. The meat and eggroll were the only things taken off my bill, I was made to pay for the rice and the soup (which I did eat so I was comfortable paying for). Once everything was settled, my friend and I went up to pay our bills, and I got a mere "sorry about your food" from the waitress. It was an apology, which is polite, but she did not seem genuine in it at all and like she just wanted us out of there.
When we got home we got on reviews and started seeing a theme of raw chicken being fed to people. I don't like to call people out online, but this apparent habit is unacceptable. If you're going to serve people food, serve them food that won't give them food poisoning. I will never eat here again, and will be telling everyone who brings this restaurant up or suggests it about this experience. I'm absolutely disgusted with the food and appalled...
Read moreI’ve never patronized this so called restaurant in Meadville but I have in different cities after reading my sons post on what they employee said about refunding money that they had offered as a resolve for receiving a uncooked chicken meal for my 6 year old granddaughter I will never purchase food from them again

I’m not a fan of blasting anyone on social media, but I believe that this one deserves some extra attention. Last night my family picked up some chicken from Yuen’s Garden in Meadville Pa. We plated the food and my children began to eat. My daughter immediately went over to the garbage can to spit it out. She said “it doesn’t taste right daddy.” I looked at her plate and her chicken was raw in the center. Obviously no one else ate any of it. I called Yuen’s Garden immediately to inform them of the issue. I spoke with a man who said “We can do one of two things. Either replace the meal or issue a refund.” I told him that I would prefer the refund and that I would be in the next day to receive it. He told me that was fine and to bring all of the order with me. I returned the order today. There were some patrons in the restaurant, so I said quietly the reason that I was there to the lady at he counter. She took my order to the back room. A few minutes later she returned and issued my refund. I said thank you and she responded with “Don’t come back here again.” I was a little perplexed at what she said so I said “excuse me?” She said it again and walked away. I preceded to tell the patrons in the restaurant what happened and to check their food, maybe a little immature because I was heated at the moment but not overly uncalled for. The lady came back out and raised her voice and said “We do a hundred orders a day here!” I said that may be so but you messed up mine and good day as I walked out. I’m really only posting this as a PSA to my friends, family and anyone that may frequent this restaurant to beware of the food and of the terrible customer service. If you have a minute please share this post so that others can make a good decision on where they take their...
Read moreWow. Ok this probably does not rate as a five start in the great scheme of things, but probably a four star. But for being in little mall a couple doors down from a subway, it is definitely a five and way better than expected. I had Yuen;s Crispy Garlic Chicken --lightly spicy. It could have been more spicy to my taste, but just as likely the chef was correct. A very large stack of marinated chicken, breaded and deep fried. Served with sufficient broccoli to make me believe I actually had some vegies. Excellent My wife had Shower Fried Duck. Awesome but could have been cooked just a bit more to make the duck crispier. My son had Sha Cha Chicken Wok Ba. Very good. Excellent gravy. He would not give me any of it so I can't rate the meat or vegies. :) The waitress was kind of clueless but in a very pleasant way. She didn't know what the Sha Cha Chicken Wok Ba or the Shower Fried Duck was because she had only worked there for a year and nobody had ordered it. Atmosphere was better than expected from the outside. We garbed a menu on the way out and plan to...
