I am Latino and have been to many small family owned restaurants.
The food took a long time to come. The chips were cold. When I went up to the counter the chips were sitting in an open container with a staff member eating their meal right on top of it.
I got a burrito that was probably the same size as a Taco Bell burrito with less filling. Had to pay separate for rice and beans- which is basic in any Mexican restaurant.
Salsa for chips was served cold in a plastic to-go container.
To be honest when you go out to eat you expect at least silverware. We were served with paper plates and plastic cups.
I was not offered a cup for my soda and drank from the can!
Feels like a food-truck experience so I would hardly call it a restaurant.
Prices were unreasonable for paper plates, plastic silverware, and cups, oh and small portions (not typical in Mexican restaurants nor any Latino one).
Will not be returning. The food and experience was much better when they were in the small establishment in Manchester.
Reply to the owner-
So you expect customers to go on social media before going to a restaurant? Do you do that when you go out?
My elementary school child noticed how empty it was when we walked in and wondered why his small taco was taking so long.
Concerned how you clean the pots and pans you cook with if you donât have a proper way to sanitize???
THE CALIFORNIA BURRITO HAD NO RICE AND BEANS INSIDE SO I GOT CHARGED EXTRA FOR RICE AND BEANS- your statement is false.
I would advise TELLING your customers what to expect if you are providing a less than satisfactory STANDARD dine-out experience.
Serving size was robbery for what you charge.
The waitress was most attentive when I was paying and hovering while I was trying to figure out the tip.
Also yes the container you had for the chips was about 16 inches tall and OPEN TO AIR, not covered, and people should not be eating anywhere near it. Her black container of food was about 6 inches from the chips container when I had to walk up to get my receipt.
You say you were short staffed but there was 4-5 people at the counter when I left.
Advise- apologize, donât lie, and donât make...
Read moreI recently visited Mexico Lindo for dinner, while offering above-average food quality, ultimately left me disappointedâand not just because of the price.
First impressions matter, and walking in, I was surprised (and a bit turned off) to see a sign on the door stating that all food would be served on paper plates with plastic utensils. I appreciate the heads-up, but for the steep prices theyâre charging, I expected something closer to a full-service dining experience. Unfortunately, that wasnât the case.
The portions were small for the cost, making the already high prices feel even less justified. That said, I will give credit where itâs due: the food itself was flavorful and well-prepared. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and some dishes had great balance and depth. But even great food loses its charm when served like a backyard cookoutâespecially when you're paying premium restaurant prices.
Also the happy hour menu was nothing too special- as they only offered $7 house margs and $2 off nacho supreme; which even at that price wasnât the greatest value.
In the end, while the taste delivered, the overall experience didnât match the cost. If theyâre aiming for a casual vibe, they need to rethink the pricing. If theyâre aiming for upscale flavors, they need to rethink the presentation. Right now, itâs stuck somewhere in betweenâand not in a good...
Read moreThere is a sign on the door that states they will be using paper plates until further notice but we didnât see it until AFTER we were done eating, originally when we saw thatâs what we were being served on we didnât have an issue w the paper plates but once we saw the pricing it just wasnât adding up, . Also the portion sizes are SO small which also didnât add up w the pricing & then when we asked for avocado for our tacos and she suggested we get guacamole cause itâd be cheaper, once she brought out the food one of us got the avocado we asked for and also the guacamole so we were charged 13$ for guacamole & charged for the avocado.. anyway for 5 people who got served on small disposable plates which means we didnât get much food the total was 120$ w a suggested 20$ tip đđ¤Ł. Food was mid , service was eh, place was EMPTY which at first we figured maybe bc it was hidden but realized itâs EXPENSIVE! , also I read reviews from last year ; they were using paper plates back then and saying itâs because they donât have a dishwasher, I just donât understand why you canât afford one when you charge so much for food, i donât think they donât have a dishwasher, I think the place is greedy, they over charge, give small portions to get more money .. thatâs...
