RIPPED OFF BY MRD APPLIANCES IN VERNON
We have been customers of mrd appliances for several years and have bought some very nice appliances from them with no problem at all with the service. A few weeks ago we went to the store to purchase a refrigerator because ours had died. They require that you pay in cash and when I asked if they had delivery she said no. I said I could pay for delivery so she wouldn't talk to somebody and came back and said yes you can do that but you have to pay cash up front. So I had to go to the ATM to get enough cash for the new refrigerator including delivery and removal of the old refrigerator. While we were there we saw a nice refrigerator that our daughter could use because her refrigerator freezes most of her food. So we decided to buy her a nice black refrigerator with the freezer underneath. I paid for the refrigerator and for delivery and removal of the old refrigerator. I paid extra because it needed to go to the second floor. A few days later we realized that they had not called about when they were delivering the refrigerator. We call them and at first they said that we only paid for the refrigerator and not for the delivery and removal of the old refrigerator. I was horrified to discover that I had not asked for a receipt for either refrigerator. so a few messages later they claim that I had not even paid for the refrigerator. and that we weren't getting one. There is nothing I can do to prove that I paid for it but we have bought several applices from MRD Appliances. We are decent people and do not steal or lie. So I am out over $700 because they are stealing from me. I do not recommend them whatsoever. But make sure if you go there that you get a receipt. and FYI it is almost impossible to understand the woman that works there and she can't understand what you say. They should be ashamed of themselves. Please help me to raise money so that my daughter and grandsons can have a refrigerator that works...
Read moreOk first all if you don't speak Spanish you are going to have a hard time communicating. They do not speak English. So when you think they understand you or you understand them, it is not what you think. Go figure. That should of been the first RED FLAGG. I still purchased a fridge that was a little too wide for the space. Of course measured but somehow it was too big. I just wanted to change it out for a smaller one and they refused. I wasn't trying to get my money back even though the fridge I was exchanging for was less money. They DO NOT CONDUCT A PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS THAT WORKS WITH ITS CUSTOMERS. They are all about the $$, and they will rip you off if given the chance. They make clear no money back. The warranty isn't a standard business agreement. This is some made up stuff that in actuality should only say. ALL SALES ARE FINAL NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES. You could have a lot of business if you first, Learn some English and conform your customer service skills and stop being so...
Read moreWe needed a fridge and an oven... The reason for the 2 star review is the oven still works fine (besides some of the top heating elements being burnt out) but so long as it cooks food.
The fridge on the other hand...
The fridge that we first wanted had to be replace before it even left the store as it wouldn't hold temp... That should have been the first red flag.
The new fridge was in for about a week and never got cold at all, we then asked for the "replacement" that they offer in their "warrantee" and that fridge worked for about 3 months until the compressor failed.
My guess is many of these units are brought in broken from customers replacing their fridges, they give them a quick once over, and that's it.
We bought another fridge new for around the same price elsewhere. Make your own informed decisions but personally my experience...
