Abbott's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Vero Beach

It took 3 times for me to write this.and it hurts me to write this but how they did me tonight pissed me off to my core, Tonight was the last straw. I love this place it's about the only ice cream that I can eat. The service here is trash, there is one girl here who does her job correctly , it's a bunch of little kids that seem to not want to work. I tip 5 bucks on a 18 dollar order every single time . I order the same thing every single time and yet they can only seem to make it correctly when the one girl works. I order chocolate ice cream I get vanilla. I order a flurrie I get a milk shake . I don't have the energy to go back and forth with children every single time I go there so I took the lose tonight . Some girl I've personally never seen before decides to take charge of a order she thought she heard , after messing it up the first time and her co worker telling her she making it wrong , she got a attitude. The co worker finishes my girlfriends order puts it out the window respectfully.fastforward a minute ,Then she puts what she was making me out the window aggressively followed by have a good night aggressively and shuts the window before I could even grab what she made.. a " vanilla marshmallow peanut butter flurrie with nuts . I would of have had to make a scene to get it fixed to the " chocolate Arthur peanut butter cup flurrie.. I took the L so I'm not going speak on being allergic to one of the ingredients in the flurrie she handed me, but y'all going kill someone with your carelessness.. I'm sadden to say this but I will never go...

Sad to say I live locally and they were good until today. Ordered 2 banana splits a pineapple sundae and a strawberry shortcake sundae. Was watching the guy making the 1st banana split but didn’t see the 1st banana he used but the 2nd banana was so over ripe that it was completely dark brown. I told the girl taking my order not to use that banana and she said it was the last one they had, well as I was deciding what else to order another guy walked up who wanted a banana split as well but saw the banana on the counter and said I don’t want that either. Well if that wasn’t enough as I was completing my order the girl taking my order stated I had asked for 2 hot fudge sundaes which I hadn’t. It seemed she was intending to embarrass me because I made a stink about the banana. I’ll make sure from now on to drive all the way to Rita’s rather than deal with this kind of service again. Not only are they pricey but it seems customers aren’t entitled to a good product or servers become irate if you call them out....

The last 4 times i've been to abbotts the "custard" has been completely thawed, almost as if someone simply poured milk into my cup.

This latest time, i spent $9 on their "monster" sized chocolate milkshake. Upon receiving the milkshake, it was completely thawed and in liquid form. Thinking that putting the milkshake in the freezer would thicken it up, i did so. However upon removing it from the freezer, i found that it was frozen like ice, not like cream.

While i do not have proof, this leads me to suspect that the "milkshakes" are really just poured milk in a cup, or that i was not served what i ordered.

I would beware the reviews saying this place is great, they reek more of bought reviews than anything, but again, i have no proof so this is merely speculation.

I would not recommend this place, there are far better out there in the form of places like steel n roll (for icecream), Ritas (for custard), or even Mcdonalds if you merely want...
