See my edit below!

We were taking my in-laws out to lunch. We knew that it was expensive, but it didn’t matter, we wanted them to have a wonderful time. They cannot afford meals at this price point.

We ordered and waited. It took quite some time for our food but the view made it bearable.

3 out of the 4 plates were wrong. My father in law received an egg on his burger that he didn’t want. My fries were on his plate as well. My mother in law ordered over easy eggs on her bagel with her salmon plate. The yolks were hard. I ordered a burger with no bun, an extra patty, 2 eggs and bacon. I received only 3 patties. They went retrieve our server.

She went off to get things corrected. They returned after two of us were nearly finished with new eggs for my mother in law. Also, they returned with bacon and eggs for me, no new patties, which were cold by now.

I was a bit shocked but I didn’t want things to take longer so I ate it. I figured the server would make some adjustments on the bill.

She didn’t!

I had to say something to her, she then removed $15 from my $160 total. Not even close to what should have been done.

Terrible service. I would have been happy to spend $200 for good service and the orders arriving properly.

The only positive was the view!

Ok, Jeffery the manager made things right. I came in to speak with him about the issue we had. He was very apologetic and took great care of us the same evening. We had an excellent meal, everything was cooked perfectly. The service couldn’t have been better.

Every business can have an off day, but will they correct it? Most certainly, Cobalt will. Highly recommend. Don’t miss the chance to eat here when you’re in the area.

Thank you for the great dinner...

Came into Cobalt on a Saturday afternoon (2:30). We were a party of 8 and the problems began when they could not find our reservation. This didn't prove to be a major deal as the restaurant was basically empty. They sat us outside but the weather wasn't cooperating and so we asked if they could accommodate us inside. We were told no (I'm being generous when I say that maybe three tables inside were taken), but we could try Heatons next door as they had outside heaters. We noticed they had outside heaters also so we asked to have one moved to our table and lit. This took quite a bit of time as they had to first find someone to move the heater, and the first one they tried didn't work. We again asked to be accommodated inside and after much feet shuffling they moved tables together to accommodate us (why this couldn't have been done the first time we asked is beyond me). It took at least 20 mins to get our drink order ($18 for a bloody mary?), We also put in our food order (this weekend menu leaves a lot to be desired) and after a long wait we received our drinks (again, the restaurant was empty). The waitress who had zero personality and a bad attitude throughout starting handing out the drinks, when there were 2 drinks left on the tray it became unbalanced and the 2 drinks fell and spilled all over the back of one member of our party. Instead of apologizing, the mess was just cleaned up and everything was supposed to be ok. The food arrived and at best was just ok. The waitress with the terrible attitude slammed the check down on the table and we proceeded to pay over 300 dollars for a terrible experience. Not going back, there are too many other fine...

Our family recently celebrated a special occasion at Cobalt, a charming restaurant in Vero Beach, ideally situated by the ocean. We chose to sit on the patio, at a large table nearest to the picturesque view—a perfect backdrop for my sister’s birthday.

From the moment we arrived, the ambiance of Cobalt impressed us. The service was prompt and courteous, adding a touch of excellence to our dining experience. Our meal started on a high note with a selection of appetizers including Crispy Calamari, Tuna Nachos, and Roasted Brussels Sprouts, each dish delightfully prepared and bursting with flavor.

The entrées lived up to the promising start, satisfying everyone’s palate with their freshness and quality. However, an unexpected twist occurred mid-meal when the sprinklers unexpectedly activated next to our table. While this could have dampened the evening, it instead added a splash of hilarity as we dashed for cover. The situation was handled with grace and efficiency; Greg, the manager, quickly accommodated us at a different table so we could continue our celebration without further ado.

Despite the brief interruption, our overall experience at Cobalt was fantastic. The team did an exceptional job ensuring that the rest of our evening was enjoyable. I would heartily recommend Cobalt to anyone looking for an excellent dining venue in the Vero Beach area, whether for a casual meal or a special occasion. The combination of delectable food, stunning views, and attentive service makes Cobalt a must-visit...

The food and drinks were way overpriced for what it was. You go here for the views, not for the food or service. We had a reservation for two and had requested outside seating. When we arrived we were told we'd have to wait, no problem - so we went and had a drink at the bar. 15-20 minutes later one of the hostesses came and told us our table is ready. We had to pay our bar tab, and in the few minutes that took our table was given away to someone else! We then stood with our drinks waiting to be seated once another table finally came free - that was another 10-15 minutes. Once seated I will say the service for a 180. Our water, whose name escapes me, was great. He had good suggestions, was attentive (but not too much so). The food itself was only okay. The tuna nachos appetizer was comically small, it was more like a singular nacho. The scallops were only ok. The braised short rib was actually pretty good, no complaints on that. The mixed drinks we had were also good. Finally, I'll say that our waiter (upon learning it was our first visit to Cobalt) for comp us a free cheesecake slice for dessert - and that was delicious. However, for a nearly $200 meal out for two (two mixed drinks, one appetizer, two dinner entrees, tip) it will not get a return visit. The view was nice, but not at the expense of the poor front of house service and overpriced food.

Serge, the restaurant manager, and Angelica, our server, went above and beyond to make our evening spectacular. If I could give them ten stars, I would. From their casual banter to their attentive service, we were made to feel like honored guests. Although it was quite brisk for Florida, Serge graciously seated us outside as we requested. So as the sun set and the tiki torches blazed, we enjoyed the sound of the crashing waves and candlelight. Cobalt's ambience is killer. Sharing the stage with the excellent service are the dishes. Each selection was perfectly created and presented. The lettuce in the Caesar salad was cold, crisp, and cut in bit-sized pieces, and the application of the dressing complemented the greens. Too many times dressing is over applied and drowns out the taste of the lettuce; this thankfully did not. The grilled asparagus is equally as delightful, but the piece de resistance was the swordfish. The flavor and buttery texture were out of this world! I would return just to have the swordfish. The charred and seasoned outside provides a flavor tunnel to the soft, tender flesh of the fish. The swordfish is a must try! To complement the fish, Serge recommended a Sancerre. It was sublime. The pairing was perfection. With utmost enthusiasm, I highly recommend an experience at Cobalt. Simply magical.
