I am leaving my original review here below but elaborating after sleeping on the situation. This place is crowded, so I realize my review doesn't mean much to them, but there's always that hope that it will.
My family and I arrived here early in the evening before the crowd. We ate, drank, laughed, and listened to music. There for hours, we obviously spent a good deal of money (irrelevant here but it is what keeps businesses alive.)
The food was decent and, fortunately, cheaper than the overpriced drinks (over 12 dollars for one small vodka and club soda). We were having a great time with family which is what mattered most. The band was the best part of the establishment! (Great job guys!)
My son called to tell me good night. I couldn't hear him so rushed out to speak with him. We talked for about 2 minutes.
As I attempted to make my way back in, a security guard told me I couldn't go in and, I think, pointed to the back of a very long line. I explained that my car keys, family, everything was inside and that I just walked out of there to which he replied, "I know; I saw you walk out, but this is the policy."
He "saw" me walk out but couldn't have said, "Hey, if you leave you can't come back.""??? If this was posted somewhere, it wasn't when we arrived and couldn't be seen in the midst of the sardine can crowd.
I couldn't get a hold of my family inside as it was too loud for them to hear their phones. I was stuck outside, alone, with no jacket, no keys, worried that they would now come looking for me, and my keys would still remain hostage inside.
I'm not sure if it's because I'm no longer young and cute and showing my belly (and that seems to be the preferred crowd after 9 p.m.), if this security guy was just a jerk, or if he was genuinely enforcing a "policy" that someone above him had set. I gave HIM the benefit of the doubt and was kind and just walked away. I GET not allowing people to enter and then hang out outside not knowing how much space is being occupied, but most things have a gray area and this was a gray area that they should have made an appropriate decision for.
This policy needs to be posted EVERYWHERE and AT ALL TIMES. It was wrong and possibly even unsafe that they stranded me alone late at night AND made my entire (7 of us) family eventually have to leave so they could rescue me.
When you have to have more security than you do servers and bartenders (they were few and far between and hard to catch up with), you might start reevaluating some business choices. Offer more attention INSIDE than outside.
What if my tab had still been opened? I wish it had been.
Original Review: I am currently standing outside of this place with my keys inside and they will not let me back in because I left to take a phone call from my son. If this "policy" was posted somewhere, it needs to be in larger print. I spent a lot of money here but never would again. I am stranded outside alone because of a "policy". Security acknowledged that they saw me walk out, yet they couldn't offer me the courtesy of letting me know of this...
Read moreI had eaten here for lunch with my brother visiting from out of town and had a great experience. Recommended dining there last week with a sister and brother in law also from out of town, and my partner. We arrived early and ordered drinks sitting outside and moments later ordered their flatbreads. Everyone's came except my partners. He encouraged us to begin while ours was hot thinking in moments he'd have his meal so we did. After waiting about 15 mins. we flagged our server who said it "was taking a little longer". At the half hour mark a young woman came to our table and asked if we needed more drinks and we declined saying we were STILL waiting for my partners meal (he had ordered their cheeseburger flatbread). At this point our time there was completely spoiled when we were told they were "out of meat"! Seriously? They must've known that when the order was placed. Why weren't we told? He could've selected something else off the menu OR we could've requested that our flatbreads be prepared later when they DID get meat. We had arrived at 5:45. At 7pm my partner FINALLY got his flatbread but it was ridiculous to have had him sit and watch US eat and then 45 minutes later we sat and returned the favor. It was embarrassing to have built this dining spot UP when the entire experience was terrible. We will never go back and I would never recommend it to...
Read moreI go here on Sundays for Brunch but probably won’t anymore. They upped the price of the Mimosas which would be fine if there was a server available to keep making mimosas but bottomless mimosas I had to ask for 3 times before I got a refill is annoying. They also changed the menu so you can’t get any of the lunch items. I waited one hour for a piece of quiche, my friends all got there food but 45 minutes later I’ll still waiting for a single piece of quiche, which the server didn’t even update me on, I had to keep asking her where my food was? When I told the server although it’s not her fault, I’m a bit upset for waiting one hour for quiche when my friends all ate 45 minutes before I did, all she said was it was the kitchens fault and every other table had to wait an hour so it wasn’t just me…. Is that meant to make it better? When I asked if she had a manager or a way to make it right she said they didn’t currently have a manager and had no way to comp anything but right after she ran my card another server said she just had to comp an entire tables meal! So I asked why she just told me she had no way to comp my $14 one hour wait quiche but this server could comp an entire table? To which she replied “if I had known you were that upset I would have comped it” Are you kidding me lol what kind of customer...
