While visiting friends in FL, we planned a beach day, and this is their favorite location.

And if you're in the area after beach time, stop at elsids Taco's place down the road. Delicious!

We got to the beach about 930ish am and set up. A large pop-up canopy gave a nice chunk of shade for beach chairs while not in the water and for personal items and cooler.

There was a perfect light breeze. Though if you're gonna walk in the sand, bring beach shoes of some kind, the sand got HOT.

A bucket list item...swim in the ocean Check...

A bucket list item I didn't know I had... Get stung by a jellyfish. Check.

The water was cool and a perfect refresh in the sun and heat of the day. With a perfect breeze.

It was a ridden gem along the shoreline.

We will...

Wonderful park for the whole family. Plenty of showers and clean bathrooms. The best part for adventurers is the British shipwreck off the coast. There were a few kayaks out there. We made the swim out to the shipwreck and did some snorkeling. The water was clear and we saw tons of beautiful colorful fish near the ship. If you're planning on swimming out there be sure to take a float with you to rest on if needed. Only swim out there if you are a strong swimmer. Fins for your feet and a good snorkel mask also help. Best time to go is during low tide so the water level around the wreck is not not as high. Awesome park and friendly life guards! Free beach...

My family and I have visited Humiston Park on three occasions while scouting out property in the Vero Beach area. Not only does the park have plenty of parking, its has a really clean park and plenty of fun in the sun. Mere yards away from the Atlantic Ocean, this is my kids favorite. Upon arriving, check out the concrete Dolphin at the entrance. It is missing its left eye.

Some have reported that this place is busier than they are used to, I found otherwise. Of course, lease keep in mind that we visit from Fort Lauderdale where anything short of a mob scene is not very busy at all...

We went to the Saturday farmers market and of course we had to see the beach. Stick our feet in. Eat our food. Enjoy the beautiful Ocrober weather.. Always a good day in Vero Beach. Food was amazing, the water has eroded the beach from the storm that came bye. Nothing new... used to ride my bike here growing up... Great beach for little ones and for adults. Full amenities. Next to everything. Walking distance to most. Great to go at night or a day stroll... walking south is less crowded for the days you want to be alone, or north if you want to be social...

Extremely nice and essentially open 24/7 (the only one) though officially the bathrooms are locked at about 7pm. (That's the only thing wrong with it.). They can't really close it since it has no gates! The boardwalk is nice, it is the number 1 spot for watching sunrises! Many picnic tables with water and electricity and grills. Kids play area. Guarded much of the day in fact used to be the head life guards station. I remember renting a raft for the day here and riding the waves in when I was a kid 55 years ago!
