Countryside Citrus Beachside & El Sid Taqueria — Restaurant in Vero Beach

Another negative review not about the food, but the nonexistent customer service. You have something good here, and it could be great if only your employees weren’t incompetent with a chip on their shoulder. We went in Saturday night for a pickup order and the girl at the register immediately had a nasty attitude with us and literally kept staring at us across the room with a dirty look for the entire time. It said the food would be ready in 20 minutes, I totally understand Saturday nights being busy and having a long wait but we waited for an hour while our food was literally sitting there for at least 30 minutes. You think all that time spent making us feel uncomfortable by staring at us as if we were disgusting, she could have mentioned our food was ready? Literally the only words exchanged with this lady was “hello i have a pickup order” and the name for the order. We spent the hour waiting wondering what we had done to personally offend her so greatly. Everyone has bad days but you can’t have basic human decency?

I even asked another employee if the bag sitting on the counter was ours, he assured us it wasn’t and our food would be out soon. 10 minutes later after recognizing it was our food, his response was laughter. Cold food and wasting our time is funny to you? No apology, nothing. I had my husband and son waiting in the car the entire time. We thought it would be a quick pickup for dinner. My toddler had to go to bed over an hour after his bedtime, if you’re a mom of a young toddler you understand why that’s a big deal.

The food was good but we had to heat it up when we got home. Such a waste of over $100 for 4 people. Glad to see that we’re not the only ones with this type of experience here though, I can see countless others with the same comment about nonexistent customer service....

My review is based solely on the customer service I experienced today. I was unable to try their food.

Due to a schedule mistake at my job, I had to work through my lunch today. I didn’t have time for a meal but I did have time for a quick snack. I just wanted some chips and salsa. I gave Elsid a call to place an order to go. Was told no problem but I had to pay with card over the phone. Told the guy I was paying cash. The guy on the phone said no problem. They were “ low key at the moment. To place a to go order at the counter and it would be quickly bagged up for me” so that’s what did. I walked over and went inside straight to the counter where a woman greeted me with “it’s going to be a 20 minute wait” I said all I needed was an order of chips and salsa. Thinking to myself that this is food that doesn’t need to be cooked it should only take a minute to be bagged up. She looked at me and said “yeah it’s going to be a 20 minute wait just because you’re ordering chips and salsa doesn’t mean you get your order before everybody else. They ordered chips and salsa as well.” Referring to the people waiting on their food. I honestly was taken back by how rude she was! I was just trying to get a quick snack so I could eat something for the first time today before returning to finish my shift. If I wanted to wait 20 minutes for food to be prepared I would’ve ordered actual food! I don’t understand how within a matter of minutes I could be told on the phone that my order could be quickly bagged up for me to its a 20min wait. This lady acted like I was being entitled!! So I just said thank you and walked out the door. No lunch today. No snack. Never have tried their food yet. Been told it’s delicious but I probably won’t bother with coming back. The whole experience has left a bad taste...

This restaurant is worth going to. The food is incredible, the ingredients are farm fresh, and our family loves Countryside Farms too. There isn’t any restaurant similar nearby and it is worth visiting this gem just for the food. The soft serve is out of this world, and we really love the chips and guac 🥑😍 The environment inside is cool looking, convenient location by the beach, we love the truck you pick up your order from 🛻 (if you’ve never been here you’ll see what I mean when you go) and their verde salsa is my favorite I’ve tried from any restaurant. If you like spicy and delicious you’ll love the verde. Also the Queso is NUTS!!! 🔥 Long story short, my original review contained feedback that was only important for management to see, and they have. Sure there have been some major difficulties with staff and customer service not being up to par/friendly/professional. But I can see that they care and are working on this issue by hopefully replacing current front of house staff with service oriented, kind individuals, so I decided to edit the review. You don’t see restaurants taking accountability anymore, but here they seem to be, and that MEANS SOMETHING.
