The fried rice is "plain" but not in flavor! Just doesn't contain those sad frozen premixed vegetables that other places have. The bbq pork fried rice is huge, filling, and delicious.
The princess chicken is by far the best dish I've had at any Chinese takeout place ever. The chicken is crispy and you think it is going to betough but once you pour that sauce over it is perfect and tender. Speaking of sauce it is made to order almost all of their sauces are.
Also chow mein noodles so good order then on the side to snack on like chips the next day. Fried wonton are crisply crunchy plain wonton skins that are so good paired with your meal. Crab rangoon are lovely. Egg rolls are crispy and very large for a side item.
I've spoken with many of the staff and they are always extremely nice and go above and beyond to ensure you are happy. If you are anywhere near this place stop. You will...
Read moreHad to write this because of Coal Combustion. Coal Combustion must be nuts! I'm from Versailles and this is the best place ever! It's been there as long as I can remember, and, as a kid, was always my request when it was my turn to pick. Now I'm now an adult who lives in Lex, and there is NOTHING here that compares. I'd much rather have Mongolian Beef or Pan Fried Chicken and Veg w/out Sauce, or Shrimp Fried Rice with some egg rolls and fried wonton from here than to go to P.F. Changs. I absolutely despise that yellow fried rice with veg that every other place has. Coal's problem is probably that he only likes Americanized Chinese or he owns that Chinese Buffett that made it's appearance in town a few years ago.......Oh, and the fact that he called the employee a "chink"....'nough said about what kind of...
Read moreThe food is downright terrible. We have given this place 2 tries hoping that maybe it was just a bad first time. The sauces have promise, but the fried chicken options (sesame chicken for example) is terribly dry and freezer burnt flavor and overly starchy texture. The chicken looks more like they are frozen chicken tenders than fresh made chicken.
The beef is gelatinois and gross. It seriously makes me think it could potentially be cuts of reconstituted beef. The fried rice is flavorless with no veggies added to the rice. I don't think I've had such bad Chinese food in my life.
It's cheap. That's the only positive. But it's not even worth the price paid for what...
