This was our 1st stop to eat on our visit to Victor...what a pleasant surprise. Bartender Adam was awesome. He answered all of our dumb "we're from South Carolina questions" with a smile on his face. We even came back the next night and he remembered to ask about our snow excursion that day. The guy knows how to run a business...engage with the customers...and add in amazing food and drinks, and you've got yourself a great place to spend an evening with friends. Our 1 complaint was when we went back to eat dinner there on our last night, there was a different bartender and he was a jerk...unfriendly to customers there and when we tried to get a to-go order, he just didn't handle himself well...we left. Our advice: walk in and ask the bartender's name...if he tells you "Adam," prepare yourself for a wonderful evening. If it's not "Adam," head to Pinky G's pizza across the street.

"I stopped by Knotty Pine in Victor, ID, and was thoroughly impressed! This hidden gem serves up delicious burgers, sandwiches, and salads in a cozy, rustic atmosphere. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The food was outstanding - I opted for the signature Knotty Pine Burger, and it did not disappoint. The patty was cooked to perfection, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. But what truly sets Knotty Pine apart is its authentic, small-town charm. From the wooden decor to the warm fireplace, every detail feels genuine and welcoming. If you're passing through Victor or looking for a local favorite that also has healthy food options for every diet, Knotty Pine is an absolute must-visit. I'll be back!" Rating: 5/5 stars

We wanted to like this place more than we did. The ambience was fantastic. We ate at picnic tables with a lovely view of the mountains. However, the food was a mixed bag. My huckleberry mule was almost bland. The chicken wings (both the BBQ and the jerk) were fantastic, well-seasoned and still moist. The onion rings were also perfectly fried and tasty. However, my pan-fried rainbow trout was well-prepared but dull. It came with a squeeze of lemon, but cried out for a sauce of some kind. To be fair, the members of my party who ordered barbecue were quite pleased. I wanted to give this restaurant 5 stars, but the trout drags it down, even though everything else was enjoyable.

I was on a trip with my sister to Grand Teton and we were staying in Victor. I searched online and was excited to try this place after reading the online reviews. I double checked their hours (which say they're open until midnight) to be sure we would have enough time to get there and eat. I followed the link (from their own website) to book a table, signed into my OpenTable account, then I booked an available table at 10 PM. I received a reservation confirmation email back from them afterward. My sister and I showed up on time then walked in as the bar tender was telling us we must have the wrong place because their kitchen was closed. I showed her the Google listing to confirm we were in the right place--we were. I said I had booked a table on OpenTable, and the guy there says: "Ohhh. Yeah. We don't really pay attention to that thing and aren't affiliated with them anymore." I said "So your hours are incorrect online and the reservation I made and received a confirmation for, from your own website, is just not something you pay attention to?" They told us nothing else in town was open then both just quietly stared at us until we finally left. They did apologize to us but didn't make any attempt to rectify the obvious errors on their part. No meal credit or discount or anything offered for multiple mistakes on part of the business which left my sister and I with nowhere else to go. I just checked the listing again, and their posted hours are still incorrect, and their website is still directing people to an OpenTable account which obviously doesn't actually...

We had spent the day in the Grand Tetons and were heading to our hotel in Idaho Falls when we realized we were hungry. A quick google search showed us this place along our route with decent reviews, so we decided to stop here. It was pretty crowded when we arrived, so we had quite a wait for our table, which was fine. One thing we noticed while in line and during our dinner is that a lot of people seemed to know each other here; I’m guessing this is a local favorite. The décor is great with a nice vibe. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. They smoke / grill the meat outside the back doors, so the smells coming in the restaurant were mouthwatering. The meal was good. The burnt ends were perfect and flavorful. The ribs were a little overdone, but still tasted great. The BBQ sauce is on the table to add if you want to, but my meat had enough flavor without it. My husband enjoyed his brisket. A couple nitpicks: Side salads are brought with the meal rather than before. So, you either eat your salad first (like a normal person) while your hot food goes cold OR you eat your hot food while it’s warm and are then too full for your salad. No refills on sodas. I asked for a refill and was brought another glass. When reviewing the receipt, I saw that I was charged for both drinks. Not a big deal,...

This place has a really great outdoor eating area. They have a pretty varied menu and some good beers.

The best thing about our visit to the Knotty Pine was our waitress, Gabby. When we got our meals, the different items were anywhere from hot to cold. The baked beans were very hot, the pulled pork was cold, the brisket and Mac & cheese were warm. A different woman had brought our meals out to us, not Gabby.

When Gabby asked us how they were we told her and she asked what we wanted her to do to make it right, then suggested we start over and she took our plates. She didn’t make any excuses, offer any explanation, or try to make us feel uncomfortable. She brought us new meals and everything was steaming hot. One of the sides was wrong but she caught that and brought us the correct side immediately, also leaving the incorrect side as an extra.

We thanked her and let her know how much we appreciated her exchanging our meals. She said it was no problem and said she wants us to enjoy our food. She was very sincere and matter-of-factly about it.

I tip for service and this was totally awesome service. I don’t give every server 20% because that’s what the food industry decided I should do. Gabby got over 20% because she made us feel comfortable and made our dinner out a great...
