My visit to this bar was bittersweet. The decor was below average for a bar and the seating tables were not comfortable because they were so close to each other. When i arrived to the bar to order a drink i noticed a clean workspace and was delighted. The female bartender asked what i was having and i ordered a "so-co pleasant", which is a drink I concocted years ago. Not expecting her to know it I ordered by listing the ingredients- southern comfort, malibu, fill glass with pineapple juice, dash of grenadine and squeeze of lemon. First I noticed she gave me a well coconut rum rather than malibu.. since the substitution was lower in quality i expect the price to be a reflection of this downgrade. She added the so co and pineapple juice. Then after asking me to remind her what grenadine was she proceeded to overload the drink with what was supposed to only be given a dash! Instead she poured a good ounce if not a lil more. And when I thought it couldn't get any worse she sees the drink is below the standard amount and after realizing the bar was out of pineapple juice she decides to top it off with sprite. I was like what the heck just happened?! She didn't even ask me for my preference.. whether I might want it as is or possibly like a diff juice added to make up for the lacking couple ounces.. I couldn't believe she just went and put all that sprite in my drink. It sucked, it really sucked! And i was charged $9. However, I did like the price per game of pool, it was only 75 cents. But the pool sticks were very cheap, worn or broken while the tables themselves were in great condition. There was a live band on fri night. They were country style and they played a prince song which was pretty cool. The band ended around 1 and i played jukebox till close. Probably won't be visiting Dodge City...

You'll know it when you read the menu.) They have a dance floor at one end, and a pool room at the other end. I was there on karaoke night and had a good time. Try the "strawberry malt" drink for dessert -- especially if you are singing. The owner, Carlos, gets around the room and makes sure that...
Read moreI get that Dodge city is a bar that mainly serves beers, but if you have signature drinks on on your menu, then I would expect that the bartenders should know how to make them. I tried ordering their old fashioned, and the bartender didn't know what was in it, so I referred to her to the menu, when I finally got my drink, it was a sugary, watery mess that was mostly devoid of bourbon. the Thursday night $3 margaritas were...
