I got the Texas plate with Chicken Enchiladas with Green Tomatillo Sauce. I dare say that their Chicken Enchiladas are probably the best I have ever had! My whole meal was very filling and it was worth the price, I thoroughly enjoyed it. My boyfriend on the other hand is a hard critic and seems to judge any Mexican Restaurant by the flavor and consistency of their rice. He did NOT like it! He specifically said it had no flavor and it seemed to only have tomato sauce to give it color to make it look like Mexican rice but it didn't fool him, he knows an imposter when he see's one. I saw him eat most of his combination plate that included a chalupa, a taco, two enchiladas and rice and beans, but when it came to the rice he just sat there and stared off into space as if he was contemplating the meaning of life itself. So if he had rated this restaurant, it would've been three stars because he said it was "mediocre". Nevertheless, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a tasty meal and...
Read moreBe careful here, go to Cinco de Mayo on Red River. The wait staff at Guadalajara is more worried about their tips, before they provide service, than serving you and earning a good tip. We waited 30 minutes to get a table of 15 which was understandable and fine with us. When it came time to be seated we found out that the wait staff was fighting over who how the tips were going to be divided so it would be longer, even though the tables were coming available. My brother-in-law called Cinco de Mayo on Red River while we were still at the restaurant. Cinco de Mayo told us to come on over and when we got there the table for 15 was all set up. The food and service there were both excellent. Tortillas at Cinco de Mayo were awesome! Thank you Cinco de Mayo for being able to do what Guadalajara could not. I highly recommend Cinco de Mayo over...
Read moreWhen ordering to go, check it before leaving!!! I ordered menudo and specifically asked for 2 patas to go along with it. Arriving at home I removed lid and started eating the menudo only to realize patas were missing. I called to make them aware hoping for credit for the patas at a later date. Well that hope was short lived. I was not about to leave my table drive 20 minutes to restaurant to pick up patas and 20 minutes back home to eat, by then, cold menudo. According to lady who answered, manager stated I would have to return now to pick them up or loose the credit. Restaurants should deliver when in error...My opinion. Lesson learned never again will I eat at this establishment!! Don't get me wrong, food is great and so is the dine-in service. But over the managers attitude, I'm done...
