Order was put in the customers name and this is the way I was treated. I'm new to the Victoria area... Literally, have only been here 3 weeks and not once in the past few years working for FAVOR have I ever been treated this way by a restaurant employee- much less the boss/owner.
ZERO STARTS NOOT'S! Amanda has absolutely ZERO work ethic and clearly has ZERO knowledge on whom a 1099 contractor works for.... I called an order in and as usual put it under the customer's name. Amanda didn't know if that was my name or not- Not once did I say it was or wasn't. She was extremely rude over the phone and begin shouting at me because I wouldn't answer her whether it was MY name or not. I gave her a name for the order. PERIOD! Once I got there she walked over to my car and I was ready to pay... She pulled the card reader back and said she was going to go over the policy and procedures with me. I told her I would call first thing in the morning and speak with someone in charge. She said " that would be me" "I'm here now, and I'll be here tomorrow and everyday after that!" She continued to be very aggressive in her tone and kept over speaking me as I was telling her I would make the call in the morning (not once did I get rude with her.) I had to literally roll my window up in hopes she would walk away. Low and behold she continued being very aggressive. She also continued to go on and on about how I worked for her and I needed to do what she says. Then she started shouting she was going to call her boss. Umm, ok- Whatever you need to do but I'll still make my call in the morning. Then she demanded that I was going to speak with her boss- RIGHT NOW! I just left my window rolled up as she called James- She started telling him that I was not being compliant and that I wasn't listening to her and whatever else she was saying. Amanda was also demanding that 'He' come over there RIGHT NOW! I'm not sure if she was hoping for some sort of INTIMIDATION tactic??! All of this drama because I put the order in the customer's name, Seriously. When she continued to say things that were not true, that's when I immediately rolled down my window. Then the OWNER goes off on me! James only heard what Amanda had to say. Not once did he professionally speak to me about the situation. I TRIED to explain that most Platforms, I including FAVOR, have more than one order... He responded with "I don't care about most Platforms!" So, I said "I have more than one order and this makes it easier"... Then he cut me off and started shouting as well. Apparently, he thinks I work for him too.
Ok, James and Amanda- Let me educate you some. I'm a contractor who is contracted with this FAVOR- not YOU! You are also contracted FAVOR - not ME! If I worked for you, you would tell me which orders I would run. However, that is MY decision. Oh, and Amanda- you said you were going to get me banned from there- Honey, I've already taking Noot's off the list... MY CHOICE!
Anyone running more than one platform with more than one order in their vehicle - Surely can testify that having it under the customer's name not only makes it easier BUT also COMMON SENSE!
*ALL PLATFORM RUNNERS- if you experience this type of abuse/intimidation from Noot's, PLEASE REPORT THEM. We are NEVER supposed to be spoken to or treated that way...
Read moreI went with my cousin, NOT a good experience by far. Three parties were seated and and served their food before us, and when they did bring us our food, it wasn't even fresh. It looked and tasted like they'd pulled it out of a container and warmed it up in the microwave. The noodles were mushy and clumped together( I had one bite of noodles and promptly stopped), which is what lead us to the conclusion of them pulling it out of a container and heating it up, because when they bring food out fresh its always steaming. I ate a couple of the vegetables, some of which were still slightly cold like they weren't warmed all the way, further supporting what we thought. My counselor told me that her stomach was hurting, and mine started hurting soon after. When we talked to "management" about this (Amanda), all she said is that everything was made fresh, which our food clearly wasn't. She then proceeded tell us she couldn't take our place off because we had already eaten a lot of it, which we had not because the food wasn't good or fresh, and said she could only give a discount. After it was clear that she didn't actually seem to care about the disappointing food we'd been served, we just paid and left.
Edit: the lack of professionalism showed by the owner by insinuating that we were looking for a free meal demonstrates a lack of business ethics, as well as an unwillingness to try and resolve the issue at hand which was not getting free food but the subpar quality of the food, which is highly disappointing. It was mentioned that the food could have been reheated, but was never an option presented to us. They didn't offer to have our food remade and made no attempt to address our concerns about said food. The entire situation was handled very poorly, and this experience has brought us to the decision of no longer spending our money at this...
Read moreNoot's Thai Kitchen ordered Pineapple Fried Rice. One of my favorite dishes there. Was Saturday so a little on the busy side but not that bad. I also ordered a appetizer of vegetable egg rolls. I have noticed that these have changed over time and look and taste like they come from the local freezer section of our grocery store. But they were ok and I was really waiting for that lovely dish I had ordered. It came out as nice looking as ever. I started eating and it was good but different. I know when you cook it never really taste the same as the last time. So I kept eating and noticed it was mostly rice more than usual. I thought that is a little different than any other time I have been in here. Little tiny pieces of chicken maybe three or four at the most and I mean tiny not small. Less pineapple. Raisen's were fine as always and cashews were as always. But it was about the rice so much more rice. Now if you want to ask more for your food that is fine with me. But I hate to order something I have ordered many times before and you do not say we have changed this dish some we put in tiny pieces of chicken now because we really would have to charge more for more chicken. Then I can say yes that is fine charge me more is ok. Or I can say I think I will try another dish. So now I need to decide do I want to go to Noots and order my favorite dish with less chicken or just order something else. I would not like to get to the place that I just do not want to go there. The service is good most of the time even though I will need to take my own salt and pepper with me because they never have any on the table and when I do ask sometimes they bring it sometime that do not. Or maybe they think I do not need it. To few places to eat in my town to be up set over not getting the salt and pepper. A little disappointed this...
