Wendy's — Restaurant in Victoria

Omg, Horrible! Someone should notify the Victoria, TX Health Department. The floor around the French fries station was filthy. It's a wonder one or several employees hasn't slipped & fell. Maybe they have? The cashier was the only employee that I saw working. The female working the fry station dropped the French fries container on the dirty floor. Than she picked the container up & put French fries in it & handed them to a customer in the drive thru. My Wife said something about what we all witnessed the cook do to the Manager on Duty. The MOD threw all the French fries in the garbage. Than the fry cook told the cashier that she should make sure she washed her hands before she served up any fries. I guess that the cook thought she was being funny or cute with her attitude towards my wife's complaint to the MOD. It was also difficult finding a table that was clean. About 1/2 of the tables had little signs on them stating those tables were out of use. I imagine it was due to the Covid pandemic. This is fine but the other tables need to get wiped off after each use. The floor in the dining area was also filthy. No employees swept the floor or wiped off any of the tables while we were in this Wendy's restaurant. The last time that we ate at a Windy's restaurant was in 2010. That Windy's restaurant was located in Manchester, TN. That Windy's was nice & clean, just a little expensive for a fast food place. I'm not sure what the education level is for cooks, cashiers & Supervisors in this entire region of Texas. We have eaten at the Palaicos, TX Dairy Queen. It should close its doors forever. We spent over $80.00 at the Palaicos, TX Dairy Queen. Our order was so screwed up. My son & I had to walk into the DQ twice to find out why our order was messed up. The 2nd time I asked to speak with the MOD about why it was taking a hour to get our food. The Supervisor was hiding in the drive thru booth & refused to come ask me what the problem was. She instead sent a young boy to check on why we were so upset. Needless to say our entire food order was cold & we couldn't eat it. While all of this was going on another customer started complaining about her order. She only wanted a couple cheese burgers. She had been driving for about 10 hours. About 2 or 3 days later my awesome wife went thru the DQ drive thru in Palaicos. She ordered me a mint chocolate chip blizzard. She brought it home to me it was vanilla soft serve with crushed up oreo cookies in it. The blizzard didn't have any mint in it. I only give the Olive Garden in Victoria, TX a 2 out of 5 being the highest & 1 being the lowest. We ordered a peanut buster parfait at the Dairy Queen in Port Lavaca, TX. I asked them 4 times to substitute pecans for the peanuts. They some how managed to screw it up.The hot fudge Sunday & the peanut buster parfait was cold & not hot. In the past 3 months of living in this 70 mile radius of Palaicos, TX We have experienced the worst of the worst restaurants in our 60 (+) years of living. I have a few other horror stories from the restaurants within our house. The point to all of this is have a good meal before you leave your house. It's the day after Christmas 2022 and we're hungry on our way to Houston so we stopped here. Big mistake! Usually we eat in Refugio but we held out and we should've held out longer until we got to Houston. I like Wendy's. The first Wendy's I ate at was the one in Sugarland earlier this year and OMG it was amazing! So I was excited! I mean I'm over half a century old and I'm only now eating at Wendy's! 😁 I went to the restroom and I thought my shoes were going to stick to the floor, but it's a restroom so I gave them a break.. maybe they were busy. They weren't really. We were the only ones inside. The entire restaurants floor was sticky, tables were cleared but NOT CLEAN. Someone walked in right behind us, she came in with WENDY'S FOOD so we were wondering what was up. We ordered, sat down to eat and that entire time this lady who had walked in with her order (which she had just ordered at the drive thru we overheard 🙄) waited for them to remake her food. So, we waited a while for our food, and took our time eating because we weren't in a rush, and SHE'S STILL WAITING! Ok, so my burger (son of baconator) was a 4 out of 10. My bf nuggets were.... Wet, juicy, idk they were weird. I'm just surprised that no one was cleaning or doing much of anything. They had to have walked on that floor! So better Victoria Wendy's please! Not for me, I'll never stop here again, but did your community! Please don't reply with "we are short staffed". It was not busy and it just takes a manager who cares about the restaurant to keep the place tidy when no one is there. Not to mention, I don't think you were open on Christmas so it should've been spotless really. Nothing was pleasant about the atmosphere here. Oh, and you have a shattered window by...

I can't comment on the categories I didn't respond to because I never got my order... certainly had the displeasure of speaking with a female manager that had the personality, resolution skills and attitude of a corpse... I was going to follow up on it the following day but I was over it and over Wendys... every time I've dined there in the past, specifically at this location I quickly got in the habit of double checking my order due to their poof and inefficient service... about the only thing consistent there, except counting on a disgusting restaurant floor and bathroom... it's certainly not anymore on our side of the counter to blame for the minimum wage job you've earned...the positive thing about fast food locations is the quick turn over which creates more for the individuals that shine and are self starters...my parents always informed me no matter the job do the very best you...
