Goody's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Victorville

I think this place prefers mexicans customers. The lady at the register, long straight hair, hand waved to us to take a table, she was busy. We sat at the table for 10 minutes until someone finally came over to ask if we want something. Coffee and orange juice came 5 minutes, i ask for menus. 5minutes more until she took over order, plates came out in less then 2 minutes. The 3 people, mexicans, sitting next to us walked in, in front of us sat down a waitress came to them with menus, and water, took their orders their plates csme out in a few minutes, and they were done eating. Before anyone came to us to and if we want anything. Long hair waitress told me in spanish, that we can ask anyone that works here for service instead of waiting service, no one is assigned a section. I was taught that was considered rude, waitresses were busy with, and will get to you soon. My wife started eating the jelly packs on the table, I ask her if she wanted to leave and go to RICHIES Diner, she said no because we are already here. this place had 3 waitresses working and only 4 tables had customers. We are a mixed race couple Im native and she is asian. Never coming here again. There was a white couple there, sharing a large salad, they were trying to get their drinks. They left after eating a very small portion of their salad. This used to be a great place, with the new owners they fired the white waitress, and the younger mexicans girls too. So I got a skillet meal, two of them. It’s all I really wanted. And when you think skillet you assume the hot plate. Well apparently they just ran out of the plates, maybe everyone in there had a skillet or something. But they didn’t care to tell me that when I was ordering my food. Well the food comes out and the blond waitress just “ OOP WELL WE RAN OUT OF THE FANCY SKILLET~ HEHEHE” and served our same order in two completely different sized plates. The pancakes looked raw 💀 how do you make a pancake look raw? lol. They didn’t feel sorry, they didn’t even offer a discount. Not that I wanted one but idk.. IT WOULD BE NICE TO KNOW THAT THEY KINDA FELT BAD? 😭 that’s all.. the waitress just gave me a bad vibe all together, she couldn’t really face us after to ask if our meal was good. She just slapped the bill on our table. If you want a skillet meal, just go to Dennys, they won’t run out...

I have been here a few times. This last time I ordered the chicken fried steak, the traditional eggs benedict, and an order of French toast. The French toast was good. an easy make, there where a total of 6 halves (3 on each side) came with a scoop of butter in the middle and sprinkled with powdered sugar. The country fried steak was cooked great and seasoned well but the gravy seemed thick like it's been sitting for a long time.The Eggs Benedict on the other hand was made terribly. the eggs are supposed to be poached (they were way over cooked) no runny in the yolk at all, the bread underneath was not toasted and the sauce was old.
