Let me preface this by saying that yes, I did order rather close to closing time; I would have been absolutely fine and understanding if the staff had not taken my order in the first place, but that is obviously not what happened. They took my order, a very simple order with only a single item (one blizzard), had me pay, and then asked me to go wait around the front; no issue so far.
Well I sit there and wait. The guy that was in front of me (who, by extension was also ordering right near closing time) was waiting next to me. His order was brought out with no issue. I sat and waited for over 20 minutes, all while I could see the staff cleaning up for the night with no sign of my order being made. After another few minutes it was clear that I was not getting my order.
Again, had the staff told me when I pulled up to the restaurant initially that they were not taking any more orders for the night, I would have moved on with my night with no issue. What irritates me is that I paid and everything and never received what I paid for.
Basically, don't bother ordering if it's within 10 minutes of closing, they'll take your order and your money just fine but whether or not you get what you ordered...

Called Dairy Queen & asked for the manager.
I spoke with Bailey, the manager on shift. Sadly the explanation for the poor service & disgusting hygiene — they were busy & there was no time to clean — most definitely NOT ACCEPTABLE.
I expressed that we were in line behind 5 vehicles. It would have been better to close the drive through and PROPERLY CLEAN rather than knowingly sale dairy products processed with DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY EQUIPMENT.
I have asked that the next level if management call me tomorrow. I provided my name & number to Bailey.

Read moreWe are local, eat here a lot but have noticed a real drop in customer service. Young folks in the drive thru especially the young dark curly haired fella. He took our order with not so much as a welcome or thank you. When i got to the window he didn't look at or acknowledge me. He began talking, still fully inside the window, I asked him politely 3 times if he was talking to me and he just kept rattling on, still not looking at me. Finally looks at me and rudely says "I'm talking to you". I had to ask for napkins 3 times, he gave us short straws for large shakes, just a real bundle of joy. Please mangers, teach these young people how to interact to actual human beings. I would have felt more love...
