Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Vidor

December 19 2023 approximately 2Pm

We walked into this establishment, my husband and I with our 4 kids.

The store manager, a female lady who refused to give us her name and was not wearing a name badge.

From the beginning this employee/manager was rude and borderline hostile.

She did not welcome us. She frowned the entire time She was sarcastic by way of both her tone as well as her body and facial expressions She told us that it was not her problem that menu items were still listed even though they no longer serve She proceeded to tell us that they only had spicy chicken, no shrimp and that the wings were “really not wings!”

When I FINALLY expressed to her how she was being very rude and it appeared she did not enjoy working there, this manager said she was not going to serve us and that she would call the police to escort us out because she was NOT rude. She went on to say that it was not her fault that there were menu items listed that were no longer available as IF that was the reason we were upset. NO that was not the reason, SHE was. She was really Dr, disrespectful, mean and hugely unprofessional.

Shame on this Popeye’s owner to not only employ people like her but to place her in a MANAGEMENT POSITION.

This lady was adamant that she was not rude. I cannot imagine, then, what she thinks IS rude, maybe physical assault!

The sad part is that our kids witnessed all of this. Sad day and shame...

Worst Popeyes I've been to and I've been to some bad ones. The drive through is on the trashy backside of the building and the first time I went I waited until I was ready to give up and finally someone took my order. I ordered a 3 piece meal all dark and when I opened the bag at my hotel it was a badly overcooked breast, ok Thigh, and an equally overcooked drumstick. It was too late to go back so I ate the thigh and drumstick and tossed the breast. It's a small city so without many options late in the evening I tried them again and was told at the speaker to go to the window to order. There were 3 other cars in line ahead of me so it was a wait just to order. When I got to the window I was told they only had wings and that it would be a while to get any chicken. I told them they should have told me that at the speaker so I wouldn't have wasted 30 minutes. I tried again a couple of nights later as I really wanted some chicken and again sat at the drive through speaker for several minutes until I finally gave up. I heard a voice as I was driving off but by that time I was pretty much over it. So bad food, bad service, and a drive through that looks like it belongs in a slum. Clean it up, Popeyes. There ain't no good times rolling at...

By far, one of my worst visits here so far. 1 out of 2 orders were wrong . No honey, no mac n cheese. 5 piece tender smaller than chicken nuggets... had to go back up and waited no less then 5 minutes just to get the dipping sauce. Had to also wait on lids fur drinks. Ordering to begin with was train wreck cause apparently the menu doesn't match the register computer menu. As we were leaving, another family had the same issues not getting dipping sauce and getting spicy/ non spicy (opposite) of what they ordered. Half the draws in the straw dispenser are wet.. as of today's date, I would not recommend it. To top it off, when we arrived , there was 1 person eating and is ordering. Not busy by...
