Señor Toro — Restaurant in Vidor

I have had such a stressful adjustment to just moving to Texas . My daughter just flew in to surprise visit me , so we were going here to have dinner and surprise visit my niece .. but then my tires blew out right around the corner. We struggled to get it replaced . I was a crying mess . When we got in it was 8:40 and a Friday night . Crazy they close at 9 at the beginning of the weekend . I told the lady at the front desk Hailey her name was that it would be a to go I promise .. because I have worked in the restaurant industry as a waitress before . She started off with attitude and my niece said she would box everything up and she continued on rudely how what as to go clear across town to get her kids etc … very rudely then they said their kitchen closed at 8:30. What kind of restaurant says they close at 9 but the kitchen at 8:30 . What else would new comers do especially since you can’t even order a drink since they don’t serve alcohol. When I worked as a waitress evens if you wanted to get out so badly off work you can not refuse service to the customers . Maybe 5 mins before it closed . I will not...

Ordered the Big Juan Burrito with no rice. The nice young lady asked if we'd like double beans said, sure. Well it had double rice , no beans and no meat. I politely called , the next day because it was closing time,and told them. It was sooo dry! The young lady asked the manager if I could get another one. Didn't ask for money back. She put me on hold to speak with manager. He said no. I asked to speak to him and he refused to speak to me. Soo the young lady wrote my phone number down on the actual order soo the big boss could call me when he gets back. He'd taken a few weeks off. Soo will see how this goes. And by all means I'm not out for free food and I was very polite. Not to mention my nachos had no meat on them in which I told her but I did say I wasn't worried about that. I ate them anyways. Burrito went right in garbage and the rude manager wanted me to take them out of garbage, which had been in garbage all night. No, I wasn't going to dig in garbage and bring it up there. Got an order to go for quesadillas and nachos. My nachos were okay but the quesadillas tasted like they were dropped on the ground or the meat was bad, not sure what was wrong with it but something was not right. It tasted bad and we did not eat it. So right after I called in and the manager said I needed to drive back an hour from home for them to remake it. I said what if I bring it the following day showing how we didn’t eat it, since this was 7pm already, she said no to that. So no refund or remake of my food, she wouldn’t deal with me at all about it. I don’t see the big issue with fixing my one meal. Also they changed the portions on some of the food I noticed when I get it to-go but kept the original price. I never make reviews but thought it was all I can do since I got nothing from Senor Toro. I would not recommend. If you do go just hope there’s no issue...
