Came to luckys with our friends as my wife and i are visiting from Canada for a visit on the 25th of August. Waitress was absolutely wonderful i think her name was Nichole (this review in no way reflects her service as she was perfectly fine). They were very busy so we had a bit of a wait. My wife had ordered the 20oz porterhouse steak & i ordered the Big new york (both medium rare). 45 minutes later our food arrives. We start eating our food and i cut into my steak it was rare instead of medium rare (for me no big deal i proceeded to still eat it). My wife on the other hand her steak was well done and she could not eat it at all. When our waitress came over i let her know about my wifes steak and simply asked it be removed from our bill (did not even mention my steak yet as i ate most of it). She apologized and informed us she would speak to her manager. So the manager comes out and instantly is defensive, sighing loudly & rolling her eyes and proceeds to ask what the problem is. I inform her that my wifes steak was done incorrectly and she is unable to eat the steak and ask it be removed. She got defensive again and said theres no way they could comp her steak as half of it had been eaten.. i looked baffled. My wife took one bite of this steak. And cut further into it to see if there was any pieces she could eat as we were not going to ask for it to be remade) after telling her thats not accurate and the steak is not half eaten she says she can “provide a discount” as she rolls her eyes and gets more irritated at the fact we mentioned this and asked for it to be removed. I then proceed to inform the manager that my steak was also made incorrectly and i had not even mentioned it as i was able to eat mine & let her know all we are asking for is 1 steak to be removed. She proceeds to tell us to wait and walk away. Well now about 5 feet away they are talking poorly about us (their little cubby is not very private). Whatever. She comes back provides a $16 discount.. this was disgusting customer service. The manager in question is named Brianne. You guys should be re evaluating her employment because if she can speak and belittle your customers i can only imagine what your poor staff have to encounter. I have included the pictures of my steak which you can see i fully cut into and then my wifes which was butchered but had...
Read moreWe arrived just before the restaurant got busy. The person waiting on us had a four top next to us. I went the the restroom once seated and on my return we still had not been greeted or received any drinks. Time went by others were seated and orders taken and Drinks served. Or person waiting on us after much time and now others that came in waited on and given drinks. We give or drink order and asked if we could place the order at that time. We placed the order. Now our drink order arrived 2 waters and a decaf coffee. After tasting the coffee one could tell it spent to much time on the burner. Once the wait person returned we let them know and it was ok to bring another. Now the place was just starting to get half full and also a small amount leaving. The new coffee came but once again it must have been from the same pot as it also had been on the burner to long. Now a hostess was near by and we let this person know but they said to talk with our wait person. When or wait person showed backup now with the food we now decided to not replace the coffee. Now with the meal I had ordered a bake potato and started right into cutting it open to put in the butter and sour cream. Well the bake potato was Luke warm at best as I could pick it up with my hand and felt warmness a best. After the wait person returned and I showed the issue with the bake potato. They them gave me another one and guess what IT WAS the same only warm at best! Now a head hostess came around and asked how was everything and I told her about the bake that still was on the table and the new bake both not more than 5 minutes sense the first bake being warm and now the second in the same condition. Not much was said about fixing this like now! So we just said fine this new one will have to due. Just for info I picked up the new Bake with my hand and showed her it was not a hot baked potato as it was only warm to the touch. The bill came and the coffee was taken off the bill and that was it. We paid the bill. We will not be returning to this restaurant any time soon. Again once we left then it filled up but...
Read moreWe were looking forward to a really nice dinner with our mom to celebrate a late Mother's Day, so we chose Lucky's. Won't be doing that again.
We were seated immediately, which was nice, but then we waited 20 minutes for anyone to come by. No water. No hello. No menus. No server. We had to ask the hostess, who looked rather put out, who our server was. A few minutes later we had one. She did well. No complaints about her at all. We did, however, have to ask for me, clean menus, since the ones we were given were covered in a shiny, oily substance.
Both my mom and I ordered the ribeye with the onions, mushrooms, and gorgonzola. By the time we got through our enormous sides, we both ended up taking most of our steaks home. The Caesar salad was pretty good, but drenched in dressing. The garlic green beans oddly had no flavor and were overcooked. And we didn't know it until later, but the steak was ribboned with gristle, and completely unenjoyable the next day.
The key lime pie and cheesecake were delicious, but that was the extent of it. Such a disappointing experience, and one that cost us collectively over $150.
In addition, the dining area was set up poorly, not leaving space for me to wheel my wheelchair bound mother to the ladies' room. A server had set up the trays on stands completely blocking the way into the restrooms, and when I asked to get through, he told us to wait until he was finished serving the group at that table. Our server, who heard that in passing, interjected and told him no, blazing a path through for us so my mom could use the restroom.
Had never been to, or even heard of a Lucky's before. This was our first impression. Suppose it's...
