Natta Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Vienna

LONG POST AHEAD: I am seriously disappointed with this place. My mother use to order from here regularly, but NO MORE! They are rude and customer service is non-existent! I picked up a carry-out order for her a couple of months ago and asked for some extra pot stickers sauce. The woman in the front went back to the kitchen and returned informing me that they would charge extra. I told her no thank you especially since we were spending over $50 on our order alone! I was so tempted to tell them to forget the whole order, but it's Mom's favorite place, so you know how that goes. I told Mom to stop patronizing them, but she didn't listen. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, my Mother and her cousin ordered carry out. Her cousin was dissatisfied with her food and decided to take it back. Needless to say, the establishment was not happy. My mother called last week to place an order and they recognized the name and telephone number and informed her she was banned from their place because she complained about their food. EXCUSE ME?!! Do they expect for people to spend their hard earned money and accept their lack of customer service as well as whatever slop they give them?! If you want to feel valued as a customer and get what you pay for (their prices are not cheap) then...

My favorite go-to Thai restaurant!

I don't typically patronize a restaurant multiple times within a month - typically because I like trying new places within the same cuisine. Natta Thai is the exception!

I came on my own one day to explore something new. I order the Pad Thai (typically my way of judging a Thai restaurant) and was back 3 days later to get my wife in on the experience. We have continued to come back here for a Thai fix ever since! The flavor of their dishes is right on point and something you would expect when you go out for Thai food (it doesn't taste like a Thai/Chinese mix). The spiciness is right where you would expect it, as well. Unlike other restaurants; when you order 3 out of 4 chili peppers at Natta Thai, you get exactly the spice you hope for.

A word of warning - the restaurant is small (I'm talking ~24 seats total) and can get very crowded on the weekend evenings. Weekday lunches and dinners shouldn't be too much of a problem for you if you time it right. They also do take-out.

Half & Half Story. TAKE OUT ONLY as of 3-14-2021

First Service was extremely good. The attendant/server was very attentive and kept a smile during the whole ordering process.

It's a bit on the small side. Lots of parking.

Now here's the half & half the food.

Food:

It's not consistent. Example: I really loved the rice. But a couple of times, I found pockets of uncooked rice. At moments the rice was hard and similar to chalky.

The Thai tea was extremely sweet (diabetic heaven) and too strong of "some flavor." I can't put my palate on it, but something seems to have been cooked too long.

My chicken dish was pretty good. A bit on the sweet side.

All in all, if they tone down the sweetness and a bit more consistent with food prep, definitely a 4 star.

I really enjoyed our server. She was amazing.
