This was my first time visiting a Sweet Leaf. I was told it was comparable to Cava or a Mom's. I was greeted by the lady at the counter who asked me how I was doing. I said I was fine and asked how she was doing. No eye contact, completely ignored the question, never talked to me again.

A second lady came over and asked for my order. I ordered a Greek Roots salad. I asked if they could put the pickled onions on it. Since it was an upcharge to add onions, I declined. It's not an upcharge at the other two places giving them an edge right off the bat.

No other issues until I tried to eat the salad. The kale was awful. It was like eating cardboard covered in dirt. The pathetic amount of other items placed in the salad couldn't overcome the flavor of the kale. Literally the worst salad I've ever eaten in my entire life. At 46 years of age, that's saying something. I don't know what the other menu items are like, but the salad was $11.45 with tax. With the amount I ate, that works out to about $4 per forkfull. I'd estimate about 95% of the content of the salad was kale and other assorted greens. You get one small scoop of feta and one small scoop of "Greek roots."

Did I mention how bad...

I went here for lunch because I’ve been here once before with another coworker. He raved about how great the steak medallions were and how massive their size was in comparison to other salad places. This time when I went there since I had already tried the steak I opted for the veggie option. I ordered the tofu tango. I enjoyed the salad a lot other than the fact that there was only five small cubes of tofu in the entire salad. This was a stark contrast to my first visit there when the amount of steak I got the first time tripled the serving of tofu I got on my salad today. I would say you guys need to work on your portion sizes for those who aren’t meat eaters. It’s not fair that because I prefer tofu over steak that my portion is so much smaller. I brought this to the attention of the girl working there who was at the cashier stand. She told me that she herself portions double tofu when she makes the salad to compare to the meat. She asked me what salad I got. I told her tofu tango. And she insisted that that’s how the salad comes. I would’ve been a loyal customer but don’t appreciate the fact that they skimp if you are a vegetarian but if you are a meat eater that’s...

One of my go-to spots for takeout. I usually get the salmon farro bowl with mixed greens, avocado, and chimichurri sauce—it’s consistently solid, and the portions are generous. I recommend keeping customizations minimal when ordering; a few times, my paid add-ons were missing, and I couldn’t reach anyone at the restaurant to get refunds. In the past, the ventilation wasn’t great, and the space often smelled smoky, but I didn’t notice that issue today—maybe due to the weather or improved airflow. While they do have seating, it’s a bit hard to hear people across the table, possibly due to poor soundproofing, but most people order takeout, so it’s not too bad. Lastly, the restroom seemed clean the one time I used it—nothing memorable, which is usually a good sign.

It has been quite some time since our last visit to this restaurant. We anticipate returning at some point in the future to indulge in its delectable food crafted from fresh, high-quality ingredients. We stopped at this restaurant while searching for a breakfast establishment in the area. We were delighted to witness the preparation of our food using fresh ingredients right before our eyes, and it was truly delightful. We were pleased with our breakfast selections and beverages, as well as with the satisfactory service. The restaurant's spacious and clean interior contributed to our overall satisfaction with the dining experience.
