Read moreThis was my first time visiting a Sweet Leaf. I was told it was comparable to Cava or a Mom's. I was greeted by the lady at the counter who asked me how I was doing. I said I was fine and asked how she was doing. No eye contact, completely ignored the question, never talked to me again.
A second lady came over and asked for my order. I ordered a Greek Roots salad. I asked if they could put the pickled onions on it. Since it was an upcharge to add onions, I declined. It's not an upcharge at the other two places giving them an edge right off the bat.
No other issues until I tried to eat the salad. The kale was awful. It was like eating cardboard covered in dirt. The pathetic amount of other items placed in the salad couldn't overcome the flavor of the kale. Literally the worst salad I've ever eaten in my entire life. At 46 years of age, that's saying something. I don't know what the other menu items are like, but the salad was $11.45 with tax. With the amount I ate, that works out to about $4 per forkfull. I'd estimate about 95% of the content of the salad was kale and other assorted greens. You get one small scoop of feta and one small scoop of "Greek roots."
Did I mention how bad...
Read moreI went here for lunch because I’ve been here once before with another coworker. He raved about how great the steak medallions were and how massive their size was in comparison to other salad places. This time when I went there since I had already tried the steak I opted for the veggie option. I ordered the tofu tango. I enjoyed the salad a lot other than the fact that there was only five small cubes of tofu in the entire salad. This was a stark contrast to my first visit there when the amount of steak I got the first time tripled the serving of tofu I got on my salad today. I would say you guys need to work on your portion sizes for those who aren’t meat eaters. It’s not fair that because I prefer tofu over steak that my portion is so much smaller. I brought this to the attention of the girl working there who was at the cashier stand. She told me that she herself portions double tofu when she makes the salad to compare to the meat. She asked me what salad I got. I told her tofu tango. And she insisted that that’s how the salad comes. I would’ve been a loyal customer but don’t appreciate the fact that they skimp if you are a vegetarian but if you are a meat eater that’s...
