Came here on a whim a few days ago just because we were hungry and looking for a quick bite to eat and we noticed that Pizza Vienna sells pizza by the slice.
On walking into the restaurant, we were greeted by a small pizza parlor with probably 5 or 6 tables inside. Probably not a place that you would stay to eat, but that's not particularly unusual for a pizza place. It took us a little bit to figure out what to order as there's a pretty vast selection of pizzas and other similar foods and we couldn't for the life of us figure out how much a slice of pizza would be. We finally asked and they said that any of their pizzas could be sold by the slice.
So we ordered three different slices and were, honestly, a little shocked by the price. For three slices and no drink we paid about $17 which felt steep. We didn't realize until after we had purchased that Pizza Vienna runs a smoking lunch special that is much more reasonable. Take a look at that before ordering.
We paid and sat outside to wait for our food. We were hungry, the kids were crying and we were a little peeved by the price of the food. It didn't help matters that we waited over 15 minutes for our food to get heated up.
Finally, the pizza came out and that's when everything changed. The slices were massive; like 3 slices are almost a whole pizza kind of huge. Not only that, but it was good pizza. We ordered a Hawaiian slice, a meat lovers slice and slice of cheese. All three were delicious to the point where my wife exclaimed that it was the best Hawaiian pizza she had ever eaten. High praise. Three slices was enough to satisfy the whole family, which is pretty impressive.
What I appreciated even more than the food was the service. As we were eating, we sat and watched the group of young men who were working at the store. They were all very friendly and kind; particularly when an elderly, handicapped couple showed up at the restaurant. They came outside, dried off some tables and reoriented the patio seating so that the two of them could sit down. They went above and beyond to make sure that they were comfortable and cared for, which was not something that I would expect from a pizza shop.
All in all, we came in not expecting much and not expecting to go back. We left potentially finding one of our top pizza places in the area. We'll certainly be visiting again and I would recommend you...
Read moreUpdate This update is for Pizza Vienna. My previous review at the bottom was for the old place at this location that closed down, I think it was called Pizzaroni.
I looked at the menu of Pizza Vienna and saw a few unique pizzas, so I wanted to try the place out. Ordering online was easy. The garlic Parmesan wings were good. Nice texture and flavor. They're also pretty big wings The Hawaiian slice was good. Normal crust and toppings. Note: I like normal. Nice and reliable. The fish sandwich was also normal good. The owner greeted me when I picked my order up. He was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely come here again for pizza or sandwiches or subs, if I'm not looking for something fancy. I'm curious to try their other flavor wings, other pizzas, and subs and wraps.
---Old Review Below--- I like the variety of food, and I would definitely order from here again. One star is lost because I really don't care for their pizza. The crust they use is kinda... hard to describe. But it doesn't seem standard to me. It's like a dry focaccia bread. Now, their wings are good. I liked them and my friend really liked them. I liked their chicken gyro. I liked their manicotti. My sister liked the tiramisu and said it's better than Balducci's. My family liked the sauce on the pizza, though not the crust. I liked their garlic knots. However, they're tiny! And I think they were supposed to give me two sets of 4 garlic knots because we had a combo that comes with them, and manicotti which also comes with them, but we only got one set of 4. I think I would never choose this place for their pizza. However, I would go back for the variety. And I would still eat their pizza. Next time, I'd like to try their subs. Oh, and they walk out and bring the food items...
Read moreUPDATED: the owner himself personally made this right for us. He hand delivered our items. He explained there was a phone issue last night which has since been resolved! He is incredibly kind and a new business owner. We so greatly appreciate the generosity and dedication he has to his company. We are delighted we were able to try the food, it was amazing. The chicken tenders are a generous size, fries are well seasoned, and the pizza slices are generous sizes as well. We will be giving our business to Pizza Vienna in the future!! Thank you!!
Original: The phone numbers listed do not work for this company. I ordered through UberEats (newborn twins at home, trying to use convenience to my advantage). I ordered a lg pizza, and chicken tenders, after completing the order I realized I had forgotten to add on a 2 liter soda. So I immediately cancelled the order, within 1-2 minutes. UberEats still charged us $40 saying the merchant had already started our order. I called UberEats to explain I was going to be reordering, just needed to add an item. In order to credit us back the $40, they needed to contact the merchant (Pizza Vienna). They called several times, as did I, and there was no working phone line-just a voicemail. Ultimately I was charged for food that was most likely never even started, it would've been nice to be able to contact someone from Pizza Vienna to sort out the confusion. As a new business, you should have active phone lines for customers and 3rd parties alike. I hope we can get...
