Pie Gourmet — Restaurant in Vienna

I'll start off by saying their pies are delicious. However, the most recent experience I had with them has caused them to lose a customer. I first ordered from Pie Gourmet for the "Pi Day" event my office was having. The pies arrived on time and they tasted amazing. I decided to order from them again for our office Thanksgiving event. I ordered a week in advance for them to be delivered in the morning. The morning of came and went and at about 1:30pm I called (Our event started at 1). The person who answered initially bold faced lied and said the pies were already delivered because she thought I was calling from a different location than where my delivery was being sent. When I told her I was here and hadn't received them she then said she would call the driver to find out what happened and give me a call back in 30 min.

I waited an additional hour before I called back, and at this point I wanted a refund, the event we needed the pies for was nearly over. She proceeded to tell me that the driver got lost, he left the shop at 9am with the pies and he should be here soon etc. So I said okay, if he gets here soon fine (People will eat pie regardless). Another 30 minutes, nothing. I call back. No answer. At this point I'm sure they're intentionally ignoring me. I call back. No answer.

The driver arrives finally and he only has 2 of the 3 pies I ordered. I refused to accept the order and asked the driver to take them back as I was requesting a refund. I call them back, they literally picked up and hung up! I called with a block number and she answered! Lol (its funny but its not). I told her that I was aware she was ignoring my call and that the driver arrived without my complete order so I was sending it back with him and wanted a full refund. Needless to say, I won't be ordering anything...

Only rated 1 because negative numbers/-0- not a rating option. I paid for Christmas Eve delivery of $65 worth of cheesecake and key lime pie, obviously for family holiday meals. Well, when Christmas Eve approached 5PM and no delivery -- I called -- to endless ringing of the phone. I checked online - my account showed 'delivered.' I waited, hoping that Pie Gourmet would actually do so and bring me my pies. NOPE. Pie Gourmet did NOT deliver on Christmas Eve, did not call, showed 'delivered' (erroneously) on my online account, and couldn't care less when I called to complain on the 26th. Since no comparable bakery option existed after 6PM Christmas Eve or anytime on Christmas Day, my carefully (and expensively) ordered dessert plans were completely blown. Did pie Gourmet care at all about this on the 26th? First, the employee ruffled papers for 10 minutes trying to find my order, and then acted like nondelivery was a normal occurrence for them. "Anyone can make a mistake" I was told. Completely disorganized, abysmal customer service. Hopefully I will be refunded, however this is NOT the point of my being upset. I counted on these desserts. In my opinion, I felt like I was trying to get the equivalent of a (Seinfeld) Pie Nazi to understand that non-delivery of an order on Christmas Eve could NOT be fixed by a simple refund or delivery of the order on December 27th. They were snarky and completely unapologetic for leaving me completely up the creek without a paddle. ...

I ordered a Coconut Custard pie which was probably the best I have ever had, absolutely delicious to the last bite. we also took home a Shepards Pie and Mexican Pie which we froze. The Shepard's Pie was filled with meat, carrots, peas and all things good! The topping of mash potatoes was awesome. The pie in itself was completely filling and full to the top with ingredients. The instructions said if frozen heat 375 and bake for 45 minutes. It took almost 2 hours to heat completely through to be hot. It was a great meal for the five of us. Now the Mexican Pie probably would have gotten 4 stars but gave it 3. There were far too many black olives in it and I love olives but it gave the pie a tart tangy taste, plus I added additional cheese on top the last 15 minutes and covered it with foil. It was just too many olives. I would think green chilies would work better or more of them if they were already in there. I didn't taste any. All in all even tho the pies were an average of $22+ I would definitely consider ordering from them again. Good quality food and looking forward to trying their other casseroles and pies. Think we will try the Banana Cream everyone seems to like....
