A Mixed Experience at Asian Time
This past weekend, my party of three ventured out for our fourth visit to Asian Time, a restaurant that had previously delighted us with its scrumptious Asian cuisine. While our past experiences had been excellent, this particular visit left us with mixed feelings.
We started off our meal with some mouthwatering gyoza, which proved to be a fantastic choice. The gyoza was perfectly cooked, and the accompanying dipping sauce added a subtle yet delectable kick. We also tried the ginger salad, a refreshing and crisp addition to our starters.
For our main course, we ordered a total of four sushi rolls, including two spicy tuna rolls, one Orlando roll, and one shrimp tempura roll. The Orlando roll lived up to our expectations, boasting a harmonious blend of flavors that left us craving more.
However, our experience with the spicy tuna rolls was quite disappointing this time around. They tasted fishy, a stark contrast to our previous visits when they were nothing short of delicious. We decided to send them back and substitute them with two more shrimp tempura rolls.
Now with a total of three shrimp tempura rolls on our table, we found them to be just ok. They lacked the same rich flavors we remembered from our previous visits. To add to our disappointment, our server seemed preoccupied with something else, which led to a subpar service compared to what we had experienced before.
It's essential to acknowledge that everyone has an off day, and it seems that Asian Time had one during our recent visit. Despite the inconsistencies we encountered, we will be giving Asian Time another chance, as our past experiences have been overwhelmingly positive. We hope our next visit will bring back the exceptional food and service we've come to expect from this...

The insides of our Krab Rangoons (usually our favorite Rangoons bar none) we're still cold in the center. My wife had the Pho, it was not hot. Not even warm really. You could tear right into it. No steam. Meat was still pink. And...it was ABSOLUTELY LOADED with Staranese. (Not sure I spelled right) It was not good at all. I had the Tom Yum. It had so much sugar in it. It was way way WAY too sweet. My wife it Thai, she knows Tom Yum. She agreed and said it's so sweet it like eating desert. The server asked if we wanted to go boxes. We declined. She could tell since not one single item we ordered was even a quarter eaten. We do not like to complain at restaurants. We don't like when they offer discounts. And re heated food is usually trash. We just paid and left. Even though the food was bad we still tip based on service. The rest is from our original review when we really liked the food at Asian Time. ::::::;;My Food has always been very good. Fantastic flavors. Nice restaurant, nice staff. Certainly in our top 5 for...
Read moreI am a Thai food snob, so you all know where I am coming from. My absolute favorite is Bean Sprout in Viera. Having said that I can give you a pallet profile compared to that to help you decide if this is a place for you.
Green curry w shrimp - 7.5/10: Veggies - cooked perfectly with a little crispness Sauce - a little earthy and it needed a little salt and a little sweeter profile for my liking Shrimp - 6 in an order and a little over cooked. But I like the way the shrimp is prepared and has a very little inedible shell. That is a nice bonus. Large portion
Pad Thai extra chicken - 8/10: Noodles and sauce - tastey, and would prefer more of a peanut flavor Chicken - great texture. I would hope to see this amount of chicken without ordering extra. Large portion
Pine Nut Veggies - So So So good! Veggies - cooked perfectly Sauce - smokey and perfectly! Large portion
Jasmine rice - 10/10 Cooked perfectly Large portion
