We went this past Tuesday, April 29th around noon. My partner had questions about the meatloaf, specifically the calorie difference of each plate. Our server was not very helpful, including making the comment,"Oh my God ", when my partner asked again about portion size and calorie difference . When she left to go to another table, I suggested that we pay for the coffee I was having , and go elsewhere k. My partner agreed, and we asked for the bill for the coffee and to speak to a manager. Only then did our server change her attitude, profusely apologized, asking/ pleading for us to not get her in trouble, saying she really needed this job. Ok..we accepted her apology and ordered. My partner's meatloaf came out perfect. Everything on the plate was cooked well. My food was not so great. I had the French toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. The French toast wasn't even warm enough to melt the kitchen applied soft butter, the bacon( oven cooked), was so tough it wasn't chewable (I could twist it into a knot) and was cold as well. The scrambled eggs were the best part of the meal, though they weren't overly hot either. When the problems were addressed to our server, she said she would see what she could do about the bill. I ate almost 2 pieces of the 4 of the French toast, less than 1/2 of 1 piece of the bacon, and most of the eggs. The coffee was also lukewarm and quite weak. The server came back suggesting a takeout container for my uneaten food. If I didn't want to eat it right from the kitchen, why would I want to take it with me? She suggested that I could put the French toast in a toaster. We are on vacation and travelling..no appliances in van. She then brought the bill. Full charge for both meals and coffee. $30.35 While not expecting a totally free meal as I did eat a small portion, I felt at least discount of some sort would have been appreciated. This was my first time ever at a Cracker Barrel restaurant, and, unfortunately will probably be my last. When we left I had to go to the service station behind the restaurant to buy snack food for the road as I was still very hungry. I have personally worked in the Food and Beverage industry for decades , and never in any of the places that I have worked would this...
Read moreFirst off, I would like to say the waitress was nice that helped us. My main problem was the food and other rude individuals in the establishment. Me and my spouse ordered the hamburger steak meal in which the menu details that it comes with gravy when we got our food, it came out dry and hard. Then seated some people across from us that were quite rude. The lady across from my husband had to sneeze instead of covering her mouth she turns around and sneezes right in my husbands direction. My husband, so desperately wanted to say something but they were in uniform, and they were also law-enforcement so out of respect he didn’t say anything. By this time, my husband’s perception of this place was already shot so he went to get the manager in reference to talk about the food The manager came to our table acting like there was nothing wrong yet you could see that the vegetables were dry. On the plate and the hamburger was well over cooked. Then the manager try to deflect once my husband told him about the interaction of the other guest at the table. The manager said well I can’t control what others do. My husband was not asking control other people. My husband was just expressing to him. What caused his perception to where he just wants to leave one it was the ever cooked food. And then the rudeness on top of that from the lady seated across from did not help matters. We have eaten here before and the last time we came here the Coca-Cola tasted like soap. We are self also work in the service industry and can understand from time to time that things cannot be right, so that’s why we went in time yet once something has happened again that’s just us. Again we were not expecting the manager to control the person across from us, but they could at least control the quality of food that is coming out of...

I quickly contained what I could of the throw up... then a server shows up with just a dry towel... so I asked for some cleaning spray to clean it... she arrived with the spray and asked what else I needed.. i told her i was cleaning it up... I had to find another buss person to ask for a garbage can.. he said "we don't have one out here for customers"... so i told him I had a pile of napkins with throw up on them and he said he would go ask what to do with them... really? Like... can i put them where ever you do when theres trash on the table? Omg! Now I'm sitting at a table with a pile of napkins covered in throw up... hubby took son to change his clothes... I was so up set that I had no place to dispose of them after cleaning everything up... I grabbed my other son and left... I did clean the area as good as I could... absolutely ridiculous...
