Here’s my honest (and detailed) review lol: The equipment is safe and harnesses are checked prior to embarking on the courses. The activity itself is extremely fun for couples, families, or any group. Overall, there aren’t that many bugs in & around the course (surprisingly), so that’s a bonus. In terms of hospitality and aid, the staff is attentive and accessible. They walk around the course (on the ground underneath you) so help is easily accessible, if necessary. They’re also encouraging and friendly. Now let’s talk about belongings. You can bring a small backpack onto the course with you, and you can also carry a water bottle (and even hook it to ur harness). They do have water stations around the course, however, if you decide to skip on carrying a bottle around. On another side note: if you get stuck as a result of your backpack .. they will likely cut it in order to untangle you, and you may be asked to leave the course without a refund. Now onto sweating. It’s an outdoor activity with a lot of physicality to it, so you will sweat.. it’s a given. So just wear deodorant and hydrate!! Wear breathable clothes too. I don’t recommend sweats or jackets. Ohh.. and for the bug haters (aka me).. nature is not normally our friend. But maybe here it is. To be honest, even though the course is literally between trees and swamps .. I didn’t find there to be that many insects. It wasn’t a major deal. But, just wear bug repellent if you’re worried. My friends & I all wore shorts & we left with no weird bug bites (or scrapes or cuts for that matter). Now moving on to the next thing.. the pre-cursor to the course. Before attempting the real course, an employee will run you through a mock course for you to familiarize yourself with the equipment. It’s practically a mini mini course, for us to practice before the real deal. During that instruction, we were told about the rules of the course, we had our harnesses put on, and were given the opportunity to ask any questions we might’ve had. It lessens the ‘stress’ of beginning an unfamiliar activity. Anyway, there’s a cool perk to the course too. Although the zoo is a separate attraction, you can see some of the animals from above! At one point, the monkeys were right below me. It was pretty neat! But, if you want a proper full tour of the zoo, you’ll need to buy separate tickets for that. So, overall, Treetop Trek was a fun, interactive, and moderately challenging activity. The expert course (which my friends and I did), cost $55/person for about 3.5 hours and I think that’s a pretty reasonable price. All in all, I would definitely recommend going to Treetop Trek — with your kids, friends, or heck.. even solo.
Tip: keep weather conditions in mind. You will be taken off the course for thunder warning, & need to wait 30min before being able to go back up.

Read moreI have a serious fear of heights. I am 45 years old. My daughter wanted to do the rope course and I thought sure I can do that. I didn’t think it was high and I didn’t think there was any zip lines involved. We went there and found out I was wrong. I couldn’t tell her now at this point. I would’ve taught her nothing. So went ahead. She was also pretty nervous. I was beyond nervous, I was terrified. NEVER have I ever been brave enough to climb a ladder much less anything like this. She went first and I was behind her climbing the ladder. My knee started shaking I got to the top and felt like I was going to throw up. The instructor Dominic was there on the ground talking me through every step. Had it not been for him I would’ve never even climbed the first ladder. He knew I was scared and he knew I had to do this. He never left me. He stayed on the ground and talk to me through everything. My knees were shaking my legs were cramping. My daughter was still ahead of me quite a bit. I didn’t want to quit. She had reached a point where she was afraid and didn’t think she could go any further. a young man named D (I don’t know his real name) Got up there and finished it with her. I don’t believe these young men realize what they did today for me and my daughter. They were the nicest most supportive young men. Their mothers would be very proud of them. I don’t know who is going to read this. But I hope someone that can give them some recognition reads this. 45 years old I have gained confidence and started the process of overcoming a huge fear of mine and my little girl knows she can push herself and this experience will giver her the confidence to do something she is afraid of when she is an adult. THANKS to those 2 young men. I also would like to add that the entire staff was incredible. From the beginning of us getting there until the end. Everybody was so nice and helpful. This company is very lucky to have the...
Read moreAbsolutely awesome!!! My wife and I love these kind of things and we've been to a couple different places with zipline and treetop obstacle courses, the one by Brevard Zoo was the best and most challenging yet! We did the hardest option which is the Challenging course with the addition of the Black Diamond elements. The Black Diamond is basically just a small zone in the middle of the course you can do with exceptionally challenging obstacles. Definitely not for the feight of heart and be in decent shape to even think to attempt it. But fun! The main Challenging course itself is pretty great as well, there are three paths to choose from at a point, easy, medium and hard adding additional 1, 3 or 5 obstacles before the ending ziplines. The hard path definitely lived up to the name and an overall great workout and lots of fun. They had a lot of unique obstacles including a swinging rope into a climbing net and a bike you have to petal on a high wire! So freaking cool. I will add that this is definitely not for those even remotely scared of heights, there was a certain tower that you go up to do one of the longer ziplines that was super high and a few smaller platforms that gave me uneasy feelings lol. An absolute amazing, safe and fun time!!! Bonus: seeing some animals from above!
We had Dillon (sp?) and Patrick as our main guides and they were really great. Awesome guys with great energy and always there to help if you need it. Very safety forward business as well during the trek while still allowing you to hook yourself into everything. Great outdoor family fun or just a fun way to get some exercise for those so...
