Casa Sol Tex - Mex Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Villa Rica

We have been visiting this restaurant for 13+ years, the service is never really the “best” anyways, but we had the WORST experience a few nights ago. We had a younger female as our waitress and off the rip she had an attitude with me, in front of my 7 and 5 year old. (Maybe she was intimidated because we seemed close in age and she seemed embarrassed to be a waitress? Not sure. ) We ordered our food, again we have been coming here for years and we order the same thing every time we come. Well, the food came out and mine was wrong, no big deal, I said “hey sorry my order is wrong” and with the nastiest attitude, our waitress ARGUED - not even a nice tone, and said “well she didn’t order that. I didn’t get it wrong” we proceeded very confused with “okay? Well, we just want it fixed” and we were told “well if you would have ordered it right the first time” starting to aggressively argue with my husband, again IN FRONT OF OUR CHILDREN, I cut her off and asked for a different server and she said she couldn’t do that. So we found the manager and requested one and immediately received someone else. In return, the waitress we dealt with originally huddled around the bar with the other servers laughing at us and speaking about us loud enough for us to hear. The whole experience was uncomfortable. Before leaving we addressed the matter with the SAME manager again and we were told she was “special” and literally NOTHING was done about the scenario. They allowed the staff to treat us in such an unprofessional manner. I was and still am truly appalled.

This was the worst mexican restaurant that I have ever been to in my life!!! The server couldnt even understand what we was ordering to drink. From the outside the place looks nice and this was our first time coming here. We had heard about it so we wanted to try it out. The worst decision ever! We ordered the Texas fajitas for 2 and it came out on one sizzling plate with two baby portions of rice and beans for 25 dollars!!! I asked to speak to a manager nicely and 16 min later she comes over wondering what is wrong... so now that our food has not been touched and has gotten cold we told her our situation and she said she has been doing it like this for 20 years and she would take off 3 dollars!!!! So I was like ok I guess we will eat it and leave and then just not come back but then I realized that there wasn't even any chicken in the skillet so I called her back over and she said that it was there and i told her i wasnt paying for it i didnt want it i would pay for what i had and she said that she suggest i sit here and wait on the manager again!!!! Ummm no mam.... i suggest you go get her cause im not waiting all night on your manager!!! She told us that the chicken was there and I was like no it wasn't we haven't ate any... so then she said the server told her that we ordered the Texas fajitas with no chicken... ummm no who in their right mind would say no chicken... I wouldn't recommend anyone to go...

I held off writing my review until my second trip here just in case the first was a fluke and it was not. Our first experience was so good that I thought a repeat was impossible and I was wrong. The food here is amazing. That’s not an exaggeration. My 13 year old daughter and I have been here twice and both times we both cleaned our plates. Like scraping the plate with the fork and almost disappointed that there is no more other than the fact that you are completely full and satisfied. It’s as close to perfect as I think you can get. The service is great, not neglectful and not over the top checking on you every other minute like a needy girlfriend. It’s right in the middle and friendly. The facilities are very clean the lighting is appropriate and even the music has been great. And the pricing is really awesome. Under $50.00 for two people to eat including a hefty (close to 80%) tip each time is impossible to find these days not to mention the quality for the price. I had ordered here through Uber Eats before and it was very good but I would still highly recommend dining in. We have only been in the late afternoon/early evening on the weekend but I would imagine it’s the same all the time.
