UPDATE: My mother was hungry for catfish so we decided to give Trafing Post Cafe one more shot. It was as if the place did a 180⁰ turn for the better, the catfish filets were hot, fresh and tasted so good and the whole catfish were hot, fresh and tasted so good. Our server Jessica was spot in with our service and we wanted for nothing. The owner should be commended for turning this business around for the better! We will definitely be going back!!!

‐----------------------------------------------------------- My family met here for dinner, most them wanted the all you can eat catfish. The host tried to sit 5 people at a four top, yeah not a great start, they evenually sat us at an 8 top. Our server Tara greet us and got our drinks and we started to peruse the menu. Tara came back with our drinks and gave us another minute to finish looking. She came back and when my brother ordered the AYCE whole catfish he was told they were out of whole catfish and only had filets, he ordered the filets with broccoli & ocra. My mom ordered the 2pc catfish filets with a side salad and broccoli, my fathered ordered the 8oz chopped steak with double mashed potatoes and gravy. My husband ordered the 8oz chopped steak with a baked potato and side salad and I ordered the 8oz chopped steak with broccoli and a side salad. This is where it went down hill. My brothers AYCE came out with 1 piece of catfish, my mother came out one piece was warm and one piece was so hard it sounded petrified when you hit the table with it and her broccoli was cold. My husbands came out and his hamburger steak was burnt and his baked potato was cold and wouldnt melt butter, cooked but hard as a brick...yes you read that right! My hamburger steak also came out burnt and my broccoli was cold. I called Tara over and asked if she could take our broccoli and heat it up in the microwave, we got it back hot. To make this long story even longer, I told Tara that my hambuger steak was burnt and she said ok let me go talk to my manager, she came back had taken $3.99 off the check for the hamburger steak but proceeded to charge me $3.99 for the side salad and $2.99 for this little bowl of broccoli, yep I was blown away. The food quality is below sub par, Tara our server was fantastic. When a company can't keep help and has reduced their hours to close after lunch during days of the week and then closing at 8pm on a friday and saturday you know they are struggling. The bad thing is they use to be awesome but after friday nights fiasco, we wont be back any time soon.

No pictures, it was to sad to post...

For those that just want the rating without reading all of this. Food was 0 stars. Service 1 star. Cleanliness 0 stars. Atmosphere 0 stars. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences that I have ever had. There was no apology, no manager or supervisor to come over to try and make anything right. Seriously it was like this was such a frequent occurrence that it was a normal to everyone. I will not go back. Now the details...I used to enjoy this place every now and then, nothing special, but a nice friendly place for southern cooking. When I received my food, I removed my bread from the plate and cut up my onion. I normally don't provide step by step what I do in a restaurant, but you will see why I am providing this detail in a moment. I went to turn my plate and my fingers immediately felt crusted old dried food on the bottom side and I am not talking a small amount. If there was that much on the bottom, no telling what might be under the food, or what the plate that was sitting on top of this one looked like! It was enough to turn my stomach. I immediately cleaned my fingers back off and waited for the waitress and told her the situation about such an unclean plate and that this food was contaminated and I was not able to eat this. She looked at me like a deer in headlights and said what do you want me to do? I asked her to take that food away and bring me a clean plate with fresh uncontaminated food. In under a minute or two time I had a new plate of food in front of me. Now how did they fix a new dish that quickly, I wondered. Then I noticed that no bread came on this dish and the onion was cut up how I had previously cut it up. So, this was my first contaminated food on what I suppose was a cleaner plate. I called the waitress over and told her and she just immediately said "I have no control over what the kitchen does". I told her I would not be able to eat at this restaurant...

my family and I do not get to go out much after my dad had a massive heart attack back in November he lost half of his heart function so it's not easy for him to go out. with that being said we went to your restaurant this evening one of his favorite places to eat to get the all you can eat crab legs. not only did we have to wait which is understandable due to how busy it was but once we were seated it took our server took a while to get to us again understandable what was not understandable was not only did we not get our drinks we didn't get our salads before our good was given to us the crab legs were cold and overly salty the fries were cold as well when we asked our server about drinks and the salads she was one of the most disrespectful server we have ever gotten while telling us they have fine people running food there was one of her and in a rude time told us we would just have to deal with it. not only have I been a server my mother has been as well we both know how tough it can be the does not excuse her behavior or the poor quality of the food if we had stayed we would have spent well over 120$ not even the point of the cost it was supposed to be a treat for us since my dad actually had the ability for that day to even get to go out we left and ended up going some where else I'm very very...

This was our 1st time going to the Trading Post Cafe. The food was delicious! Our waitress Falecia was phenomenal. We ordered the all you can eat Crab Legs. They brought the Crab Legs out faster than we could eat them. I was at a disadvantage because I had a cast on 1 hand and limited use of my other hand, so I wasn't able to eat as many Crab Legs as I wanted, but my grandson and husband cracked me a few in between them stuffing their face. I was disappointed to find out that I couldn't take the food that we were unable to eat home (see last picture); seems like a waste of food. BTW, the Fried Green Tomatoes were amazing- I hated to leave them too.

This place is so dang yummy. We came here for breakfast and it was great. The food came out superfast, the sausage gravy and biscuits was incredible, the eggs were delicious l. My son had the pancakes and they tasted great, he ate them so fast. My wife got the "hot mess" she really loved it, she said it was spicy but great. I tried it and thought the same thing. Overall the food is really good. The place was very clean and very spacious. Our server was incredible. She was very attentive and kind. I don't ever see my self going anywhere else for breakfast. We found our new place.

My first time here, I didn't know a great quality country food restaurant was nearby. I will be back, and so will my new friends in our group sharing the burdens! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and the owner are very nice to chat with. They do have an all you can eat crab legs and catfish, one night a month, call to see when. I know the catfish is under $20 Great place, food, service and was better than my expectations, oh and they give BIG portions, they do close at 2 pm ,gotta get there early for breakfast or lunch!
