Stay away. The health department score is terrible and the franchisee cheats his employees out of money. Do not allow your children to work here. Just moved here and my 17 year old was wanting a job quickly so he can have money to do what 17 year olds do. After careful consideration, we decided to enroll him into another high school outside of this district so we encouraged him to get a job closer to the school he’ll be attending. Anyway, after a bogus week long trial period, the franchisee promised my son $10/hr. due to his great work ethic. He asked him to keep his salary to himself because evidently, other people start at less. Right before my son’s first paycheck, he turns in his two week notice. He was given the option to stay the two weeks or since the pay period was ending, he could go ahead and leave. He chose to leave. When he goes in to pick up his check, the hourly rate was $8/hr instead of $10/hr, supposedly because he chose to leave. I’ve tried calling numerous times, leaving messages and going to the store to see if he was in to discuss this matter. After having conversations with two other employees, come to find out my son isn’t the only person they guy had cheated. I guess it’s his regular business practice and how he pays to bring his terrible health department score up to par. We were at your Villa Rica Dairy Queen, 7/4/22 @ 6:20 pm. Our order ID was AACQTKWJEAZ. A kids 2 pc chicken meal was ordered. Your board stated it was $4.29, I was charged $4.79. I was also charged for a small drink & an extra fry. When I asked the young man at the register as to why I was over charged by $2.50, he stated that I ordered a small drink & a fry, so I asked him to help me understand what was included in the kids meal, he said a small fry & a juice. I then stated that ok, so you owe me $1.50, he got argumentative and stated that he did not, gave me my food & walked up. I went to our table, explained to My husband what was going on & when this young man brought his food over, he asked him to send his manager to our table as he would like to speak with them. That never happened!!! So my husband went back to the counter to get the cone that came with the kids meal & tried to also explain that we'd been overcharged & the young man said I'll give you a $1 back & that's it. Never spoke with anyone else. I was offended at his attitude towards me & then my husband as we then left. We are not where we can't pay for or afford our meals, but we will not be overcharged and then humiliated by someone who clearly has no respect for customers who pay his salary. Was craving a shake and Sonics line was loooong so decided to swing by DQ. Worst mistake ever. Walked in and I said I’m glad y’all have your dining room open and the cashier said I hate it because now we have to let people inside. As we are standing there to order, myself and my elderly mother the cashier just walks away behind the half wall where all the other workers were standing and they all proceed to have a very loud conversation. The cashier finally returns to the register and I place our two blizzard orders and then she just walks away again not asking if I would like a receipt or anything. She returns to where the other three shift workers and manager are all standing behind the half wall and they resumed their conversation as they began making our order. During the almost five minutes it took for our order to be made NUMEROUS curse words could be heard loudly and clearly to the other end of the wall by the soda station. Didn’t put lids on our order, or even turn them upside as they DQ tradition goes. Not ONCE did the “manager” say anything to any of the workers and was actually involved in the conversation.
