There was approximately 5 vehicles ahead of me & took me almost 30 minutes to be able to order - when it was my turn I waited exactly two minutes & I didn’t receive a “hello, one moment.” Nothing- so I said “good morning are you ready?” THEN I got a “one moment.” asked the lady taking my order if she can please bag my items in different bags- 4 biscuits & 4 sides of hashbrowns. She said “suuurreeee.” In a sarcastic tone. I asked if she can repeat my order. No response. I waited a bit & asked “mam?” I got a deep sigh and she repeated the order. When I pulled up to the window my items were in one bag where they threw extra bags in there so I can bag my own items separately. I reminded them I asked for my items to be bagged separately and they refused. I asked for the manager, explained everything & the manager herself explained they couldn’t do it due to them being “backed up” I proceeded to tell the manager the reason why I asked for the items to be bagged separately was because I didn’t mean to be rude but her team was giving me signs of incompetence and I didn’t want to have to dig through one bag to make sure everything was present but I pulled up & bagged the items myself. They forgot my condiments but I didn’t care to go inside and ask for it I just wanted to leave. The items were correct and that was a pleasant surprise. I’ve worked at two fast food places before. Easiest job I’ve ever had. I understand it being busy which is why I pulled out their window and bagged my own items instead of staying parked at their window. Also, one of the main functions with working fast food is making and BAGGING the items. It’s what YOU get PAID to do. HELLLLOOOO get it together people. Roll up at 11:45 and the breakfast menu is still on the drive up board. I asked if they were serving breakfast and they said "no, lunch". When I pointed out the menu was still breakfast, I heard an audible grumble over the intercom and nothing else. Then I elected to go drive to a parking spot to look at the lunch menu so I could do more research before ordering.
When I came back through, the menu had indeed changed. I ordered a cheese burger with "just meat, cheese and pickles". She verified the order twice and a manager's voice verified it once. Even to the point where they were confused because pickles didn't come on it originally. "So, you want to add pickles?" After all this, the burger had every topping on it and no pickles.
The second order was chicken strips with a Diet Coke. When she read it back, she said "Chicken strip meal with Dr Pepper". Both my wife and I heard it and I corrected her. "That's what I said............." um, okay.
Next a kid's meal burger, plain. It had everything on it.
Finally, a kid's grilled cheese meal. It was cheese between bread thrown in a microwave. Neither kid's meal had a toy.
We waited for 25 minutes for the food to come out and there was nobody in the store.
The fries were obviously made at the beginning of the lunch hour. The Dr. Pepper was just carbonated water. It wasn't even brown. Wrong toppings on every burger.
To top it off, the drinks didn't have straws.

Read moreIt's been around 7 years since I have been to a Hardee's and my local one used to be my favorite on all levels of hospitality and quality of food. This morning will make me go another 7 years... I ordered 4 meals for breakfast and all was going great until a young girl walked up holding 3 of my 4 drinks trying to hand them to me all at once. I asked for a drink carrier and she scoffed at me and complained that " that means I'll have to go in the back to get them". I replied "OK, sorry" and she stormed off. The young man looked embarrassed and I told him it wasn't his fault for her behavior. A minute later she walked up and flung one of the drink carriers at him and slammed the stack on the table. A few gentleman at the counter looked at her like she was insane and the other woman working there who looked like the manager didn't even respond. Completely immature and unprofessional. I am a very patient and sympathetic person towards service workers in the food industry as I served and bartended/managed many restaurants and bar/grills years ago. But this deserves no sympathy and she should have been sent home for that behavior so I would be the only one that she went off on. My apologies for the Karen rant but this one...
