Comfortable, Friendly, and Accommodating! When looking for this Quality Inn you’ll find that it is not visible from the main road, but google maps gives an accurate route here. The pictures I initially found on line were a little discouraging, but that was because there was a large dumpster out front due to renovation activities at that time. There was another Quality Inn in the area with a lower rate, but this one without a doubt was the right choice. To begin with, I can’t mention the hospitality of any particular employee because they were all very accommodating. In my first 2 days I met at least 4 customer care reps on the front desk, and not one was lacking in comparison to another. We were in room 104 which happens to be handicap accessible. I can honestly say the room was not only efficiently cleaned, but also has quite a bit of character in its fixtures and decorations. The fridge was not the smaller 18 inch high unit, but the 36" high. The microwave was also above standard (Rotisserie option added). The 36” flat screen TV unlike many hotels had a remote that allowed full access to the TV’s options menu as well as Xfinity Cable. For those of us who are always burdened with the need for carrying a surge strip, that won’t be necessary here. I counted a total of 8 outlets; minus the ones at the bathroom sink. Lighting at the desk was very ample and the actual office chair is comfortable enough for prolonged sitting. My wife usually wants to get comfortable on the bed, but here the arm chair and ottoman was her first choice. The room AC unit was more than ample. Many motel guest make the mistake of turning the fan on high, when you do this the fan continues to run after the compressor detects proper temperature. So now its pumping humidity from outside, this will cause the room to feel cool enough, but sticky. ALWAYS SET THE UNIT SO THAT THE AUTO LIGHT IS ON! By doing this the unit will run to temperature and then turn of both the fan and compressor until needed again. Now you can enjoy your stay without the feeling that something was wrong with the environment. The property is equipped with a nice pool area, but due to the difficulties experienced since Covid, the management has been unable to obtain a viable company to open the pool. Its been my understanding that many have experienced that problem because of the shortage of chlorine, but maybe next season. However the outside of the pool does have a shaded area with both picnic tables and grilles. You’ll also find a comfortable place to relax outside on the back door of the office. If you simply want to step outside of your room for a smoke, you’ll find Alpine Industry solid steel ash trays mounted on the columns outside your room. As far as the wifi is concerned, I never encountered a lag regardless of what time of day I used it; and I connect with a VPN. Personally, I have a high quality foam mattress at home, and I thought that there would be some cons to sleeping on their stuffed mattress. But boy was I wrong about that; my wife agreed that our nights sleep was as good as at home. We also sleep on bamboo sheets, but I felt no substantial difference in the quality of their bedding. As a motel style stay, I would rate this Quality Inn location as a 5 of 5 with just one thing to consider. We slept on the front side of the building and there was a small amount of traffic noise, but not enough to matter to us. But if you are one that needs total serenity, request back side...
Read moreI did not have a pleasant time... the overall quality of the rooms were nice but the appliances were far outdated. The cheap LG TV couldn't support my PS4's 1080p resolution. While I would've settled for 720p the TV wasn't able to support that either, so I have to turn my resolution down to 480p (standard def) which made my gaming experience atrocious. What made the problem even worse was the staff. Before we figured out that a TV in 2019 wasn't able to support even low-end HD video we called house keeping to see if they could fix problem and they couldn't. They just kept telling us our HDMI cable was broken even after explaining to them it was working Completely fine before we arrived. The microwave in the rooms looked as if they from the 1970's. They had no buttons. Instead they had ancient knobs that you had to turn to warm your food with numbers that were almost erased, so you either have to turn it and guess how long it should take to warm your food or pull out your smart phone and start a timer through your "clock" app. And the microwave in my mom's room didn't work at all. The internet was atrocious as well. Iat most I would get download speeds of 2.9Mbps and upload speeds of 1.7Mbps I feel that in 2019 you should at least have speeds that are 30Mbps or higher so the customers can use their gaming systems for more than just a DVD player. I had to call house keeps a total of 12 times for them to reset the internet because far too often it wasn't working at all. And twice the staff said they were going to restet the internet and never did... The situation would have maybe been tolerable if Quality Inn had competent staff that didn't treat you as the problem and actually knew what they were talking about to fix these rather simple issues. I'm not sure if it's a language barrier issue but house keep will come into your room even if you tell them you not too. They will come knocking at 9AM waking you from your sleep and after yelling "I'm good right now" 3 times they come in anyway and I had to tell them twice "I'm fine". It was as if I was in a MH (mental hospital) and nurses were doing rounds on you. They also close the outdoor pool for 48 hours after a kid pooped in the pool. I know for a fact it doesn't take 3 hours to clean fences from a pool let alone 48, which coincidentaly was how much time me and my family members had left to stay. I feel that if I pay good money I deserve good service, I paid over 200$ for 2 rooms for me and my family and I did not get 200$ worth of service. The beds were nice, the showers were amazing, the air conditioning was great, and so was the overall design of the rooms were great. But I simply cannot recommend this hotel to anyone due to it's outdated appliances, atrocious internet, rude and finger pointing staff. DO NOT come to this hotel, your 200$ can be much better spent at other hotels...
Read moreLet me start off by saying the rooms were clean and the staff on shift both night and day were pleasant. I booked two rooms. However, we booked through Agoda which advertised an indoor pool. It was only after we were checked in when I asked what time the pool opened, the male at the front desk said it was closed for the season. I asked about the indoor pool and he responded with its outdoors. I advised him that it was showing an indoor pool which is why I booked there. He only stated again it was outdoor. I contacted Agoda and between them and Quality Inn, they agreed to give me back my second night’s stay with the agreement I would check out the next morning. I did as agreed. I had paid a deposit after arriving at the hotel of $100. This deposit was supposed to have gone back on my card after we left. It’s been 9 days and I still have not received my deposit back. When I called Quality Inn Corporate office, they advised to email the hotel which I stayed in because they were stating they did not have my card on file, which obviously is a lie. So I emailed the hotel where we stayed 3 days ago and have yet to get a response back. I’ve been jerked around by Agoda (DO NOT RECOMMEND AND I WILL NOT USE THEM AGAIN) as well as Quality Inn, which I will also never stay with again. This is terrible business. Especially considering we left the rooms immaculate. I’ve tried to wait to send this review until after everything was resolved but it’s clear Quality Inn has stolen my $100 and yet they still got their money. I didn’t get so much as an apology for the false advertisement of the indoor pool. Oh and I almost forgot to mention, the curtains would not close all the way or overlap so there was an opening where others could see in...
