Updated since restaurant replied: The roll was ok, not like expected, but fine. This review is more for the customer service. There was huffing and puffing when questions were asked. There were straight no's when asked if changes can be made. I understand if changes can't be made, 100% understand. But the attitude and rudeness when replying was very off putting. I hate leaving bad reviews but yall were rude. I wanted to order more, left hungry and upset. I appreciate you made the food the way it wasneeded and asked, but the way you handled it, a huffed an full shoulder raise and drop like I'm inconveniencing you made me feel like I should leave so I don't upset you more.
Should've listened to the reviews. I am celiac and cannot have gluten, as I was ordering sushi, I wanted the spicy tuna roll and a few other spicy rolls, when I inquired If they had tempura on them like a lot of their other rolls do (tempura is not listed in the ingredients of the rolls i wanted) she said yes it did, i asked if I can have it with out. Just the tuna, spicy mayo, and rice, she rolled her eyes and huffed and said it has to have it its mixed in the spice mayo. I asked if I could possibly get it with out (it was 1130am and we were the only customers) she literally huffed, roller her eyes and straight said "no." I said ok ill just take a plain tuna roll, instead if the 3 ibwas interested in, and asked if there was gluten free soy sauce. It was in a dirty bottle that was a reused bottle of regular soy sauce with a homemade label that said "glutin" free so I walked to publix and bought a new bottle for myself, no biggie. When i returned my sushi was waiting for me, it looked ok but just tuna, I stepped up to the sushi bar and asked the man if I could have a side of spicy mayo. Again there was an eye roll and a huffed "sure." Food was ok, nothing to tell anyone about, but the customer service is something everyone should know about. It was rude and full of huffs.
I've seen the replies the owners all reply with to bad reviews so I can't wait for them to tell me I ordered the wrong thing, or I should've chose something else. I'm celiac and restricted to what I can have, usually sushi is easy since each roll is made fresh. 🤷🏻♀️ good luck if you go...
Read moreDO NOT EAT HERE! I have been eating at Mizu for 4 years. I just discovered that it is not safe to eat there. I order at least once a month, both pickup and delivery. I normally order at home, but I ordered food at work for the first time yesterday. I was told 30-45 min, but they took 1 hr 15 min to get there, when I was only working 10 miles away.
Unless you make the food from scratch and then drive 15mph the whole way, why would it ever take that long?
After all that, my order was incorrect. I called and talked to the young woman who works there and she told me that since the employee who took the order wasn't there, they couldn't confirm the time that he had told me or what I ordered. What does it matter if he is there or not? They have zero accountability, and they don't care at all how loyal you are.
She said they would send the delivery guy to pick the food up and issue a refund. The call ended. Mizu called me back to make sure that I hadn't opened the food. Why would that even matter? They clearly were going to try to sell that food to someone else. What if I was a spiteful person [I'm not, I promise :-)] and had done something to the food or even ate some?
Beware. It is not safe to eat there.
I also have yet to receive a refund.
I really like the food there, and I'm so sad and disappointed in their customer service and problem resolution. They are so nice when you deal with them normally, pleasant and polite. That is why it shocked me so much to realize just how little they really care about us as customers. :'-(
They lost hundreds, maybe thousands, of dollars from me because they refused to own up to the mistakes they made with a $20 order. They don't care how much money you have spent there. I have been going there for YEARS, but I'll never eat there again. I'll never be able to tell if my food is fresh or if it came from another customer's rejected order, and...
Read moreAte here the other night. We had been once before and it was ok, but this time the restaurant was freezing cold, and even most of the staff were wearing jackets. Service was slow and horrible, and we were repeatedly ignored in favor of other customers. Two other customers had young children that were screaming at the top of their lungs the entire time we ate, and no one did anything about it. If we pay to eat at a nicer restaurant, we don't expect our night to be ruined having to hear someone else's kids scream the entire time.
A man I presumed was the manager went around and asked two other tables if they needed anything, people who had come in after us I might add, and it took him passing by three times before he finally noticed my boyfriend's drink was empty and stopped to ask if we needed anything. The people who came in after us all received their food before us, even though they had also ordered sushi after our order was placed. We got our miso soup first, and it was quite weak. When we finally got our sushi, the rolls tasted ok, but the nigiri was poorly made, as in falling apart, and was very bland, flavorless, and didn't taste very fresh.
My boyfriend asked for a box because he hates to waste food. The server said ok. He waited. The wait was so long I decided to go wait for him in the car where I could turn on the heat, and then the server asked one of the same tables of people who came in after us if they needed a box. They said yes, she brought them one instantly, and he still hadn't gotten his box even though we were sitting right next to the other table. We felt ignored and neglected the entire time. Horrible service, horrible atmosphere, mediocre food. We're never...
